Oregon’s first-in-the-nation drug decriminalization measure has been highly scrutinized since voters passed it two years ago, but as state funding finally starts to make its way to addiction service providers, proponents say they’re starting to see results.
“We have to stay the course because this is life and death and this really is building an entirely new future for the state that the state deserves.”

Heroin is to Oregon what the Kool Aid was to Jonestown, Guyana in November of 1978 I get that sense of what’s coming down OMG.

The Killings
'Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.'
If all the drug users kill themselves off, the overdose rates will plummet and liberals will proclaim success…see how that works
Well if everyone ODs then you don’t have to worry about it anymore
IF PORTLAND & BEND drug themselves into a mass die off-—who cares anymore???
Another way of continuing the citizen kill
Eugene is worse than Bend.
That’s what I kind feel about the situation
Wonder how soon it will be sold over the counter, again..

We have gotten so far away from the notion of humanity created in the image of God that the caring goes out the window.
Yes sir.
Evolution in action.
From an outstanding book ...
Okay, let’s see how this turns out. It is time to be consistent. We talk about the idea of 50 states, each being laboratories of new policies and laws. We’ve said that for educational choice and many other things. I have a pretty good idea how this will turn out in Oregon. Let’s just say the Marxist population in places like Portland will decrease; eastern Oregon not so much.
Heroin...
.bad ju ju.
Putting Liberals in charge of helping drug addicts is like putting wolves in the chicken coop.
What is needed is a HOT place. Say 100,000 acres in Arizona with Army Barracks type housing, an R Lee Ermey type in charge, no drugs of any kind and “qualified” drug addicts and a brigade of marines to keep order.
“Qualified” means a conservative minded doctor certifies “this guy CAN recover”. Otherwise, Liberals, trying to kill the program, would send the walking dead to the Gunny Sgt.
Everybody would work and get lots and lots of exercise. In between, they would go to vocational training to do a job.
For meals, the government would set up a good Navy chow hall.
The overdoses are an unfortunate by-product of the real purpose of all of this.....
It is an industry - not much different than big pharma, public and “higher” education, abortion, or the defense industry.
All of these non-profits get a LOT of money. It employs democrats and they in turn donate back to democrat politicians
The government programs are legion. They get more money for social safety nets, welfare, public housing, etc. That employs a lot of people (including lawyers). They in turn donate to democrat politicians.
Big pharma has their role to play in this as well. The whole suboxone/methadone/narcan industry and the accompanying clinics are big money for big pharma. They profit and donate to democrats.
They do the same thing with the homeless - more programs than you can shake a stick at and they work hand in hand with the “drug treatment” programs. Same people - different sign - same result.
Follow the $$$$
The people who work in this industry are convinced that they are “helping people” but in reality they are just perpetuating the problem while demanding more money. It is just like a failed inner-city school system and what do they demand to fix it? More money and more programs.
We have seen that failure but it is bigger and more expensive than ever today.
No one, I believe, holds a gun to the head of a drug user/abuser.
It is not my place to scream at legislators, “more anti drug laws”.
You use/abuse the drugs. that is y’all’s choice.
