I think whatever damage there was was minimal. But it was felt all the way to Ft. Worth and Albuquerque, NM. That did surprise me.

Love it...but totally don’t remember ever hearing it. I liked The New Christy Minstrels, too.

Hi luvie! My parents liked the New Christy Minstrels and that album (from around 1965) came out every Christmas season along with the Robert Shaw Chorale, Charlie Byrd and some others, no matter where we lived.
Are you expecting arctic weather in your neck of the woods next week too? 🥶

Wow, it was felt that far?
Being a roller and not a big jolt or hard shaker helped keep damage to a minimum, I’d guess. I’ve seen a few hard shakers and jolts on the Lake Hood cam over the years and Anchorage chatters said they had things broken when they were knocked off walls or shelves. They sure startled me when they rattled the cam!

Howdy, Allegra!
My parents had that album, too, and played it often at Christmas time.

Yes we are. The real deep freeze starts next Thursday. Before that it’ll be sort of like it is now. 50s in the daytime, 30s at night. Poor kitties. They’ll be spending most of their time in their hidey holes where I’ve placed self-heating pads for them. They are semi-ferals and won’t come indoors.
Hope you have a lovely, if frigid, Christmas!

Hi radu! That album brings back such wonderful memories.
How are things with you? Are you traveling or staying put for Christmas?

I also think that our type of ground might have kept it to a minimum, too. We have caliche about 6 inches under the topsoil [if you want to call it that LOL] and it’s harder than cement. Probably doesn’t vibrate like some other types of geological formations do.
