Wow, it was felt that far?
Being a roller and not a big jolt or hard shaker helped keep damage to a minimum, I’d guess. I’ve seen a few hard shakers and jolts on the Lake Hood cam over the years and Anchorage chatters said they had things broken when they were knocked off walls or shelves. They sure startled me when they rattled the cam!
I also think that our type of ground might have kept it to a minimum, too. We have caliche about 6 inches under the topsoil [if you want to call it that LOL] and it’s harder than cement. Probably doesn’t vibrate like some other types of geological formations do.
