If you passed on getting the COVID vaccine, you might be a lot more likely to get into a car crash.
Or at least those are the findings of a new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine. During the summer of 2021, Canadian researchers examined the encrypted government-held records of more than 11 million adults, 16% of whom hadn’t received the COVID vaccine.
They found that the unvaccinated people were 72% more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash—in which at least one person was transported to the hospital—than those who were vaccinated. That’s similar to the increased risk of car crashes for people with sleep apnea, though only about half that of people who abuse alcohol, researchers found.
The excess risk of car crash posed by unvaccinated drivers “exceeds the safety gains from modern automobile engineering advances and also imposes risks on other road users,” the authors wrote.
Of course, skipping a COVID vaccine does not mean that someone will get into a car crash. Instead, the authors theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also “neglect basic road safety guidelines.”

Dark haired drivers have higher % of accidents than light haired or no haired drivers. Of course those are made up, irrelevant conclusions.
If anything, vaccinated drivers could have more heart attack/stroke related incidents vs non vaccinated that potentially could occur during driving.

You can prove anything with a "study" if you use the right cherry-picking techniques on the data.
We are not immune to the same problem. There is no sanctuary.
Choose what you want to believe - then place your bet and lay your money down. If you are lucky, you may find out later whether you were right or wrong. If you were wrong, maybe there is still a change to change something. Or maybe there is not.

I’m in Canada and can say that my results are the opposite, no vaxx and no crash. But I sure would like to hear more about the encrypted data base and what else they have been tracking.
If the stats are real, I would imagine it has to do with the risk averse mask wearing fully jabbed crowd including all the non-drivers out there, the urban folk who bike to work and take transit. So it’s a skewed sample that drops out all of those who are very unlikely to be driving a car in an accident. Let’s say that’s 25% of the total population, then right there the unvaxxed drivers are going to be compared against a smaller total group of people than the entire population, and it creates a 33% increase (you are now one in six rather than one in eight).
If the non-drivers amount to 40% then the increase is 67% so maybe that’s the whole reason for this. The assumptions they made are entirely fictitious, perhaps the unvaxxed are actually more aware of the rules of the road since they have already demonstrated logic and self-preservation skills. Maybe we were in more accidents because we couldn’t get on a plane and had to drive long distances. (that is no longer the case within the country)
My ID driver's license has the "star" on it for travel id. I had to produce a passport and birth certificate to get that. I almost used in in August 2019, but my wife had a life threatening seizure that terminated my travel plans. I haven't actually hopped on a plane since Sept 2017. My "star" card is good for 8 years in ID. I'll have to return to the driver's license office again prior to my 68th birthday. That happens in 2024.
I'm not surprised by the "world id" thing, but I won't encounter an opportunity to test it for a while.
All they have to do is compare 2020 data to 2022 data to sh!t their pants if they are looking at honest data.
So it should be at higher risk for Dog Sled crashes ?
The unvaccinated also have more ear hair, are more prone to snowshoe accidents and are more frequently attacked by wombats.
