OP-ED: There is no ‘better choice’ than Trump
The Washington Times ^ | Dec 12 | Bruce LeVell

Posted on 12/13/2022 4:09:23 PM PST by RandFan

You may have heard some ‘chatter’ about potential contenders for the 2024 Republican nomination. These so-called politicians and businessmen are trying to tell the American people they are the “better choices” let me be quite blunt with you… it is all noise.

Back in 2016, Candidate Donald Trump knocked out some of the nation’s “most qualified candidates in history.” If you have forgotten, here is a list. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, former Ohio Governor John Kasich, Dr. Ben Carson, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, former New York Governor George Pataki, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, former Lousiana Governor Bobby Jindal, former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker & former Texas Governor Rick Perry.

President Donald Trump was a political outsider, transparent with the people. But this quickly made him the establishment’s enemy number one. He was constantly attacked by the mainstream media sycophants’ and even was plotted against by people within his own party. Yet he was still able to act as the best president in my lifetime and build the Make America Great Again movement from the ground up.

...

Donald Trump is the best leader and only choice to save America. It is extremely important that we unite and show a strong front as the GOP. There is no room for losers, liars and leaches. Shape up, or we will leave you where you are, and if you are lucky, we will send you a postcard signed “with Love, America.”

Agree, but hard that wet noodle Jim Gilmore qualified for anything.

In 2024 I’ll be voting for Trump. And any other candidates endorsed by Trump. Nothing else is definite.

I still think he’s your best bet but a lot of people said in my thread the other night that there will be a contest.

It will certainly be interesting. Never a dull moment on FR.

Unfortunate, but true.

I see Trump as the “presumptive R nominee” already.

But unless he can figure out how to win the states he won in 2016 but lost in 2020, it’s all a waste of time and money. He’s got 22 months to figure it out and fix it.

I voted for him twice, but I believe he would lose in 2024.

I don’t see him losing a fair and honest election...

Trump is unlikely to win a popular, “fair” vote.

Too many have been poisoned to him by all sorts of nefarious characters.

Nobody is likely to win a fair vote who the Uniparty has not approved to win. I will never deny the existence of fraud.

Nobody has been “poisoned to” Trump. Those who claimed to have been were looking to put the knife in him the whole time.

I’ve been impressed by deSantis but will vote for president Trump (provided no more Nazis or white supremivists or antisemites are invited)

100% Trump or 0% Trump...

They weren’t invited in the first place; they were party crashers.

Trump was fresh and exciting in 2016.

No longer.

DeSantis 24.
