The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol is increasingly turning to the Department of Justice as a potential partner for carrying out its mission once the panel sunsets.
The two investigative teams have at times been at odds over the last year and a half, with the panel rebuffing a request from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to share transcripts of its interviews in May.
But as it stares down an end-of-the-year deadline, the committee’s tune is changing toward something reminiscent of a high school yearbook: Let’s keep in touch.
“If they would want to talk to some of our investigators or members of the committee, I think part of our duties and our oath of office is that we have to cooperate. And I see that cooperation being ongoing,” Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) told reporters on Thursday.

The new House should keep the committee going and have it probe into issues such as the murder of Ashli Babbitt, the role of the FBI in the event, and the antics of Ray Epps.
The new House certainly their work cut out for them......the question is how motivated will they be?

But I think to “keep the committee going” would mean the same members as now. We want a new committee with members WE choose.

There are so many things the Jan6 committee could look into. Jimmy Hoffa, Emelia Earhart, Seth Rich, Vince Foster, Alien infiltration, Bigfoot, etc.
And why Pelosi turned down additional guardsmen and allowed this trespass to occur.
Only works if we can find some honest Dims in the House and manage to get them on the committee.
So the memo’s been issued....DJT should expect to be indicted. But *we* have known that all along!

The left didn’t find honest republicans to put on the committee. Infact, they refused to allow any
BEEP indeed. The current House has less than a month before the new Congress is sworn in. Does Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger see themselves as staying on the committee and moving forward anyway? Apparently, they do not want to give up their titles as “heroes” of the left. I assumed they would both have their new gigs on CNN all lined up.

That was the point. I should have included a sarcasm tag.
Has the committee interviewed Ray Epps? He and some of his fellow instigators are seen on video with a bull horns encouraging protesters to storm the Capitol. Nothing is ever said about his activities just before the Capitol was entered.
