The punishment is incarceration. Not torture.

Many here think the torture is funny or deserved. They forget that all citizens can be incarcerated because we give the state that power.

The power to torture. The includes one’s daughter who was drunk and rowdy, one who is a case of mistaken identity, a citizen who ends up in a mishap accidentally. Travelers in the wrong place. Often left in jail for the weekend.

Ever sit in a room with group of guys and have one open up about what happened to him when he was arrested at an out of state concert in a round up? Nice upper class man caught in a jail for the weekend? No one to process him and the others out?

How quiet all the other guys get? And how a couple more tell their stories or the stories of close friends?
