Violent and disrespectful classroom behavior has led to a staggering 50 teachers and bus drivers to quit a Florida school district in the last two years.
Brevard County School District, the state’s 10th-largest, held a heated meeting Thursday that offered an unvarnished and often disturbing glimpse into the state of its classrooms.
“On an everyday basis I am deflecting being attacked, scratched, headbutted, pushed, hit,” teacher Alicia Kelderhouse said as her voice choked with emotion. “I’ve had my hair pulled, and pulled down to the ground. I’ve had my throat gone for on multiple occasions. It’s on an everyday basis right now.”
Kelderhouse said staffers often commiserate in the morning to muster the courage to face the day — and that frightened kids are grappling with the same fears.
“I have students who are afraid every day in the classroom,” she said. “It’s just not fair to them. That’s what hurts my heart the most.”
The head of the district’s beleaguered teachers union, Anthony Collucci, recounted recent incidents reported by staffers to school administrators.

I’ve never figured out how charter school teachers and administrators would be better than those in public schools. They both come from the same background and schooling. Please enlighten me.

Here’s the deal….
…even many years ago I had a meeting with the school superintendent……I was in opposition to a curriculum and he very graciously gave his time to listen
He also took the time to show me the ‘rules book’……..what he was expected to follow/ protocol…..
……very thick book with rules and regulations
Then he showed me the ‘rules book’ of just a few years previous……
…thin….very thin
It is so obvious most parents weren’t paying attention when the gradual degradation of our schools began and continued through the years….
…..by the time they got my attention my kids were in jr high and high
We have ceded years and years to the unknown of our children’s education
My sister in law taught in one of those destructive schools……even as a solid liberal she couldn’t take dealing with the ideas she espoused
…and the principal did not have her back
She took an early retirement
Another relative taught at a well run, well maintained, disciplined Christian school and had the best of students and complete support of the principal

And why aren’t these kids expelled? And charged with the crime of assault?
High schools in places like Cocoa (lol) are just way-stations to prison. So send the 17- and 18-year-olds to prison, 3 strikes, welcome to FSP.
Kids are running wild because discipline is racist, because more black students would be subject to discipline.
It would also be racist to point out that black students tend to be more violent.
The underlying problem is the parents of the violent students. Single black moms WANT their sons to grow up to be aggressive, because they will rely on their sons for protection after they get too old and fat to attract a thug boyfriend.
No one said anything about “doing anything” to kids. Drill instructors by their nature are intimidating

Sadly, Elsie, the Left is 1000% incapable of accepting responsibility or acknowledging that it’s their deranged policies that have allowed all this sh*t to happen.
Even if they don’t necessarily agree with something, deep down, their desire for power and control forces them to ally themselves with the most insane people around.

This all comes down to those poor unloved black students expressing themselves and the NAACP and school board has their back.

This is a tough nut to crack and you nailed it. The process to even begin correcting this mess is full of pitfalls that I would not want to go through.
I say, back away and let them do as they please. Eventually the problem will right itself.

It isn't illegal aliens who have turned inner city schools into dystopian hellholes. It's a demographic of people who have lived in America for generations.
Hell, if the black crime rate dropped to that of Latinos, we'd be living in paradise.
All of this goes back to what Sen Moynihan predicted decades ago and it’s only being worse.
