WASHINGTON, Dec 7 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden on Wednesday renewed vows to secure a new ban on assault weapons in the United States as he turns up heat on lawmakers to pass legislation before his party loses control of Congress next month.
Lawmakers have shown little inclination to outlaw assault weapons since a ban on high-capacity firearms expired in 2004, but Biden is hoping to seize on outrage about the regularity of shootings to lead to greater pressure on them to change their mind.
"We did it before," Biden said of the ban at a vigil for victims of gun violence at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Washington. "We did it, and guess what? It worked ... We can do it again."

Filibuster. If it weren’t for that it would have already passed.

Even back when Biden’s brain was not senile he advised women to favor a 12 Guage shotgun as easier to aim and use than an AR15.

Joe sez “We can do it again.” But I don't think he has enough time to pack the courts or amend the Constitution prior to Jan 3 2023. But, who knows what the uniparty is capable of cramming down our throats?

No. It didn’t work. That’s why it was allowed to sunset. It produced no beneficial results whatsoever.

They’re already doing things to us we should not tolerate. A whole bunch of things. We’re armed to the teeth. And in most cases better trained and more skilled.
They’ve stolen two election cycles. Blatantly and in our faces.

I have a feeling they think an “assault weapon” is anything that can hold more than zero rounds.
You’re not far off. Just watched a YouTube video on Oregon’s new law—amongst other things bans more than 10 rounds capacity. Some sporting shotguns are capable of holding more than 10 of the newer shorter self-defense rounds. Many dealers in Oregon are planning to pull all firearms off of the shelves when the law goes into effect, because of uncertainty of what will be legal, effectively banning gun sales in the state.
Canada may ban all Ruger Model 1 rifles (single-shot) because some can take higher caliber rounds than permitted. Older double barreled shotguns like Parkers are also on the banned list.
And then there’s Brandon saying that he wants to limit ‘the number of bullets in a cartridge’, so I guess shotgun shells will also be banned.
They really want to get rid of the nuisance of having citizens being armed. Things will work so much more smoothly for them when they can pull it off.

Have you noticed, that Bidet sounds like he has an advanced case of dementia or Altzheimers most of the time?
But he becomes incredibly lucid when he's really angry or hateful or spiteful?
I can't tell if President Puddin' head is an act, or if angry lucidity is a trait of mentally compromised old folks.

“This guy has a rather unhealthy obsession with disarming us.”
Perhaps because he has plans for us that he could not initiate if we are armed.

The most prolific murderers in history have always been governments against their own citizens. ...and government employee Mr. Fauxi surpassed them all, first developing a banned gain-of-function bio-weapon and then the Jim Jones Jab.
