Rick Scott defends ‘good, quality’ Senate candidates following Georgia runoff loss

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) on Wednesday defended the GOP’s crop of midterm Senate nominees and pushed back on accusations that candidate quality was the reason for their downfall.

Scott, who led the Senate GOP’s campaign arm, lamented the party’s losses following Sen. Raphael Warnock’s (D-Ga.) victory over Republican Herschel Walker in the Georgia runoff on Tuesday. The race handed Democrats a 51-49 majority, marking a net gain for the party in power.

The GOP leadership is pure swamp sludge. If there’s not complete change the party is toast.

And thanks again to this bald headed idiot for deciding 6 weeks before an election is the perfect time to say we need to cut social security.

Everything they are doing is to cover up the coup that was ran in 2020. Until the truth comes out or the people in power die they will destroy the country to keep the truth about the treason that occurred in the US Senate under raps. The rot of this country is in the US Senate, we have a demented demonic former US Senator as President.

I agree. Had it not been for the GOP leadership in place now, the GOP would have won a majority. NOT Trump’s fault - more McConnell, Ronna, McCarty and Lindsey Graham. . . may they rot in a peat bog. . . .

I can’t think of any worse candidate than Walker. He will never be a good politician. He should apply for a football coach’s job. Those jobs pay multi-million dollars in above the table earnings, unlike life long politicians like Biden who become multi-millionaires on governemtn salaries.

As much as I liek and admire Trump, if he wins nomination in 2024, he will lose by more votes than in 2020.

You have a point, our elections are rigged and the people who rig them now know they can get away with it without anyone in power calling them out...so why not rig elections...

Accountability is gone... now so is the Republic. We are living in a National Security controlled state run by the most evil people...and here is the thing... they are basically like a group of dictators that can’t afford to fall off... so they will literally start wars so they can launder money back into their political arms to maintain their position and power... Oh wait... they have been doing that in Ukraine for years....Never mind this is old news.

Only Beltway approved candidates will benefit from vote fortification operations. It's done. Finished.

Until the Ceaucescau moment arrives, the country is lost.

I don’t recall Sen. Scott calling for the FBI to investigate allegations of ballot box rigging under Section 2 of the 14th Amendment.

“We are living in a National Security controlled state”

That’s correct and they know it.

The kind of vote scamming happening now where no one seems to get close to it is only run by intel types who do this routinely to foreign nations.

So they decide who wins here now. Or else that time you smoked a joint in high school comes out in the local newspaper two days before the election.

You know what? You’re right. And if he is not the nominee, whoever gets the nomination will lose by even more.

Because whoever else it is will not be conservative.

Conservatism is

Build the Wall
Drain the Swamp
American First in ALL Things
Pro 2nd Amendment
Pro Life

Those are litmus tests. If a candidate does not embrace EVERY SINGLE ONE, he is not conservative.

When DeSantis starts talking about mandatory term limits, then he will show signs of Draining the Swamp. Until he does, he is not conservative and there’s no point voting for him.

If Scott "led the Senate GOP’s campaign arm", how did McConnell manage to give so much money to candidates other than Warnock?,

Walker was outspent 2-1, by out-of-state money and his loss dramatically reduced what little grip we had with the Senate.

It appears with this statement they are doing nothing more than covering for McConnell's grander machinations. What is just as bad is that they imagine we will believe it.

I’m with you, up to the last point.
The Scots make pretty good whiskey in peat bogs.
I’d hate to have them polluted.

“Good for you Scott”

He stood back and laughed while the Dems were $4 to everyone $1 republican dollar. He let the Dems start voting a week early than by law. He is a liar and fraud.
