Impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for failing to secure the southern border does not appear to have the support of the some Republican senators.
As border patrol has encountered more than 2.3 million illegal aliens at the border, with over 230,000 migrant encounters in October, establishment Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Susan Collins (R-ME) appear averse to holding Mayorkas accountable for the southern border invasion.
“Someone has to commit a high crime or misdemeanor for that to be a valid inquiry,” Romney told Politico about impeachment standards. “I haven’t seen any accusation of that nature whatsoever.”

When a Sec’y and Cabinet member totally ignores normal directives of the Constitution allowing Americans to be killed through no fault of their own by illegals and illegal drugs, that is a high crime and misdemeanor. The first requirement of Cabinet Sec’ys and Presidential Staff is to protect the Citizens.

No evidence of high crimes for Mayorkas but Trump had a phone call and Trump went to a rally. Please know that Mormon Church wants open borders to bring in potential new converts.
A huge percentage of Mormons are small business owners and a significant percentage of them have a business model based on exploiting cheap immigrant, especially illegal immigrant labor.
Used to make my blood boil when I saw a bunch of Mexican illegal day laborers sweating their butts off doing hard physical labor in 115 degree summer heat while a lazy ass guy sat in his air condition pickup “supervising”.
At the end of the day, more than a few of these perfumed princes stiffed their day labor for some or all of their wages.
Many Mormons are huge proponents of illegal immigration because it gives them a steady pool of cheap labor to exploit.

Pretty sure the standard is now if some lowly lieutenant colonel disagrees with the President’s foreign policy that can be grounds for impeachment, so I would say all bets are off.
