Gotta disagree. This wasn’t an intelligence failure. This was an intelligence cover up. Folks in the government can go on news shows, and talk about intelligence failures. Assign a little blame here, and a little blame there.
But you can’t talk about intelligence cover ups. It’s complete silence all the way around.

I wouldn’t buy into most of this. Here’s some facts:
The WIV was founded in 1956 as the Wuhan Microbiology Laboratory under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). It was established by scientists Gao Shangyin, a graduate of Soochow University and Chen Huagui. They have been handling viruses now for over 65 years and records do not indicate anything even close to this type of leak in their history. The reason for this is they have been in the past very diligent and now possess one of the finest control structures in the world that it supposedly leaked out of.
In 2003, the Chinese academy of Sciences approved the construction of mainland China’s first biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratory at the WIV. In 2014, the WIV’s National Bio-safety Laboratory was built at a cost of 300 million yuan (US$44 million), in collaboration and with assistance from the French government’s CIRI lab). The new laboratory building has 3000 m2 of BSL-4 space, and also 20 BSL-2 and two BSL-3 laboratories. The BSL-4 facilities were accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in January 2017, with the BSL-4 level lab put into operation in January 2018. The highest level biosafety installation is necessary because the Institute investigated highly dangerous viruses, such as SARS, influenza H5N1, Japanese encephalitis, and dengue.
This virus was not leaked, it was built and applied. Wuhan has been in the business of protecting viruses long before C19 was constructed. And China has been in the business of using bio weapons for over 100 years and are now the largest seller of them in the world with their best customer being Iran since 1988 with chemical weapons being traded to Iran throughout the 1980’s.
