The news item here can be summed up in a limerick:
There once was a prez on Nantucket, and he couldn’t get ‘round in a bucket. He rented some cars, and drove under the stars, until each one, a car fire struck it.
Okay, so I ain’t Shakespeare. But this really happened. As Fox News reported more prosaically Tuesday, “President Biden’s rented Secret Service vehicles burst into flames in a parking lot Monday, just one day after he left his Nantucket vacation.” Yes, they really called him, whimsically enough, “President Biden,” not the more accurate “Alleged President Biden” or “Ostensible President Biden.”
But other than that, Fox is deadly serious: all five of the cars that the Secret Service used to allow President Let Them Eat Cake to joyride around Nantucket on yet another one of his endless vacations caught fire. What the heck is going on here? That’s the one element of this bizarre story is conspicuously missing from Fox’s report.
Old Joe, Fox continues, “spent Thanksgiving on the ritzy Massachusetts island with his family last week. The Secret Service rented five vehicles from Hertz to carry the president and his family, and all five of them caught fire in the parking lot, according to footage first obtained by the Nantucket Current.” The Current itself adds that the cars “had been returned to Hertz less than 24 hours before the fire broke out.”
Why did the cars catch fire? “The cause of the blaze remains under investigation,” says the Current, “but one of the vehicles — a Ford Expedition — was under a safety recall by the manufacturer due to a faulty battery junction box that has caused fires. While it had been scheduled for service under the recall, sources said, it had not been repaired.” Well, all right, that could be it right there, but only one of the cars that was burnt to a crisp was a Ford Expedition: the others were a Chevy Suburban, Ford Explorer, Infiniti QX80, and a Jeep Gladiator. Did they all have a faulty battery junction box?
The fire was fairly serious, and it could easily have been even worse. Fox notes that “the vehicles were parked at the Nantucket airport and the blaze reportedly spread to just 40 feet away from the facility’s jet fuel tanks.” No one, however, is saying what the heck was going on here: “Fox News reached out to the White House for information, but they did not immediately respond.” Why not? It isn’t every day that every vehicle that the Secret Service used to protect the president catches fire the very next day. Aren’t the American people owed some kind of explanation?
There are several possibilities. Were one or more of these vehicles electric and the Biden administration is refusing to comment on the incident because it doesn’t want the hazards of such vehicles becoming widespread public knowledge and interfering with its endeavor to relegate the internal combustion engine to the dustbin of history?
That seems to be the most likely explanation, but there are other possibilities as well. Was this actually an assassination attempt against Old Joe, as improbable as it would be that anyone would try to kill a man who is barely here now as it is? Were the cars supposed to catch fire a day earlier, while Biden was tooling around Nantucket? Was Hunter running a meth lab out of one of these cars, and something went wrong and they all went up in smoke?
We wouldn’t have to speculate in this way if we had what used to be known as “journalists.” Long before Old Joe began pretending to be president, back in the misty halcyon days of “our democracy,” there were people who actually investigated stories and tried to determine what was really going on without fear or favor. Nowadays, of course, the establishment media and its Big Tech allies know better and are faithfully carrying out their true mission, which is to be a public relations agency for the Democrat Party.
Evidently, there is something about this car fire story that might reflect poorly upon the administration, and so it is being calmly ignored. Every last car the president rented caught fire? Look! Trump’s getting indicted again! Look! White supremacists! Look! Insurrectionists! And so it goes, to the extent that we may never know what happened in Nantucket. In this story, the White House is gonna duck it.
Looks like one car burst into flames and that fire then ignited the others. In looking at the pictures, the middle cars are burned evenly, while the outside cars are predominantly burned on the sides nearest to the middle cars.
I have heard that Vehicles the president travels in have great security features such as bulletproof glass and some other things we may not know about.
Are we saying that the Secret Service goes to Hertz Rent a Car to rent vehicles when a president visits a place? I thought I had heard the presidential limousines are airlifted to places the president visits , and that even when he goes overseas, he’s transported in his own vehicle which has been outfitted with security features.
Maybe this incident will be forgotten but this does seem very suspicious.
And it does seem odd to me that they send a secret service agent up to the rental car counter to rent a car for the president.
It’s very strange, as is the lack curiosity about it.
Curious…
I believe that the Secret Service DELIBERATELY set these fires to PREVENT ANYONE FROM REVIEWING THE TRACKING DATA KEPT BY THESE VEHICLES' ON-BOARD TRACKING SYSTEMS.
Perhaps Biden visited a DEMENTIA SPECIALIST or some other person or group of people connected to the DEEP STATE CABAL and didn't want HERTZ or anyone else reviewing the tracking data kept by these vehicles.
The Secret Service torched these vehicles.
Most assassination attempts are made when the target is present…just saying…
Perhaps I read the article too fast but it seems odd that the article doesn't mention your above likely scenario.
Haven’t looked closely at the pictures. That explanation would make sense. Foolish not to state it, though there hasn’t been much curiosity.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Uh oh!
Apparently. My first thought was that the airport couldn't handle large planes, but turns out he flew in on Air Force 2 seven times when VP. Along with a C-17 which I presume carried vehicles. It's very odd.
Maybe the arrangements for the cheap rentals were made by Harris or Hillary. Wink wink.
Possible though as I noted in my last post he spent 7 Thanksgivings there as VP. They could just take the tracking system boxes. And I assume like airlines they’re able to withstand significant damage, certainly fire.
With all five cars parked side-by-side, I'm sure fire from the Expedition couldn't possibly have spread to the neighboring cars, right?
Here's a more mundane story than includes the facts that 1) the Secret Service rented many more than 5 vehicles for that trip, 2) the vehicles were all parked together in an overflow lot at the airport, and 3) the Secret Service had already returned the vehicles to Hertz the day before the fire.
Nantucket fire destroys multiple cars used by Secret Service for Biden visitBy Ross Cristantiello
November 29, 2022Multiple vehicles that were rented by the Secret Service to use during President Joe Biden’s recent visit to Nantucket caught fire Monday.
The incident took place at Nantucket Airport. Just before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, staff noticed the fire consuming several vehicles in the airport’s rental car overflow area, Nantucket Airport said in a release. The airport was briefly closed, but first responders controlled the flames and it was soon reopened.
There were no injuries, The Nantucket Current reported, but the blaze destroyed five cars and came within 40 feet of tanks containing jet fuel.
The vehicles were just a few of the many rented by the Secret Service when Biden came to the island to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family, the Current reported. The cars are owned by Hertz and were returned to the company less than a day before the fire.
Nantucket Fire Chief Michael Cranson told the Current that, following an investigation, officials determined that the fire was not suspicious.
Security footage of the fire posted by the Current showed a significant amount of smoke and flames billowing through the predawn air. A Chevy Suburban, a Ford Explorer, an Infiniti QX80, a Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Gladiator were all badly damaged.
Neither Biden nor his family rode in the vehicles while they were on Nantucket, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi told NBC News. Secret Service agents used them to move around the island, and the vehicles did not show any concerning issues while the agents rode in them, he told the station.
Hertz is investigating the fire, Guglielmi told NBC, and a cause has not been identified. Officials are focusing their investigation on the Ford Expedition, the Current reported, which could have been where the fire started. The model was under a safety recall because of issues with its battery junction box.
LOL...you are correct! This was no assassin attempt!
This is what happens when an affirmative action VP attempts to assassinate her way to the job.
;-)
If Joe and the family weren’t in the cars it’s not much of an issue. Did a search and they flew there on Air Force One which would support the idea that they were simply routine Secret Service transportation. Presumably his vehicles followed.
One of those vehicles (the dark colored one) was subject to recall for bad batteries - internal shorting danger. Which is why the SS isn’t investigating.
