On Monday White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said President Biden’s Thanksgiving Day criticism of semiautomatic firearms was actually meant to be directed toward “assault weapons.”
Real Clear Politics noted that their reporter, Philip Wegmann, asked Jean-Pierre about Biden’s comment:
The president has said repeatedly that he wants to ban assault weapons, but on Thanksgiving when he was in Nantucket, he said: “The idea that we still allow the purchase of semi-automatic weapons in this country today is sick.”
Obviously, that is a huge category of guns from rifles to pistols to shotguns that are not assault weapons.
Did the president misspeak, or does he in fact want to ban all semi-automatic guns?
Jean-Pierre responded, “No. He was talking about assault weapons. That’s what he was talking about on that morning or afternoon when he was asked that question.”

an assault weapon has a specific definition of being select-fire, uses a cartridge intermediate in power, and has a detachable magazine. and an effective range of 300 or so yards.
The US considers a selct-fire weapon as a machine gun....which can be got with great difficulty.
Flippin RATs\gun-grabbers\MSM think anything that looks like an M-16 is an assult weapon.
Biden is a very mediocre, ignorant man who doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about.

Liberals want to take away all privately owned guns.
They use different approaches at different times.
They want to ban assault weapons (they kill as many people as possible as quickly as possible.)
They want to ban bolt-action rifles (like the sniper gun used to shoot President Kennedy.)
Saturday night specials (like the one used to kill Senator Kennedy.)
They want to ban shotguns (so terrible they are not even used on the enemy in combat.)
They want to ban semi-automatics (just because . . .)
They want everything; nothing for you, everything for them.

Magazine fed semi-auto rifles have been around since 1906. That is 116 years. Never a problem till the news media and politicians made it a problem.

The poster you are responding to is talking full auto or select fire, not semi auto. Major difference, extremely expensive and very hard to legally obtain.
Biden dealing with Xi and Putin reminds me of the movie “Grizzly Man” where the bush pilot speculates that the reason grizzlies have not yet killed and eaten Timothy Treadwell is because they know there is something wrong with him.
I believe he only made curved ones.
