There are a couple of threads going on on FreeRepublic about this and I do not think people understand what certification of an election is and what it would mean not to certify a County election. I am attaching an article from today's Lake Havasu City Paper that I think did a very good job reporting what happened yesterday. I will be happy to answer any questions that anyone has. Mohave County is the most Conservative County in Arizona if not the whole Southwest. If I believed, for one minute, not certifying the Mohave County election would lead to something or even MEAN something positive, I would have done it in a heartbeat, even if it meant jail. But that just is not how this thing works guys.
If we did not certify Mohave County’s votes it would have disenfranchised all the voters from Mohave County. NOT Maricopa County. It would have changed the outcome of several State races where we either won or are very close (AG). I think the misunderstanding is that if enough Counties don’t certify there will be a revote. There will never be a revote. As soon as Maricopa certified their votes, it’s over. Now the lawsuits begin. Did anyone here know that Abe Hamaddeh cannot have he recount until all Counties certify? Mohave County went for Kari Lake almost 80%. To all those out there who are bashing us, please tell me what not certifying would have accomplished?
The proper response is, “Come arrest me, you SOB’s.” A vote with a gun to your head is not a vote. Arizona Patriots need to fix their state.
Those of us that have been around a long time appreciate your direct action and reporting and know you to be sincere and genuine. Thanks so much for this and we will discuss it amongst ourselves — I hope without the stupid vitriol toward the poster.
“All Mohave County voters who cast ballots in the last election would be disenfranchised,” Haws said.
The feeling seems to be that the Democrats are going to steal the election. And if you try to put up a fight, they will steal even more elections. So just roll over.
Recounts are useless. If it can't be audited it wasn't an election. Thanks for you accounting though.
I did not, and probably no one else did, either.
Some people are just desperate to believe there is some unilateral action we can take that will make a difference. I think it’s hard for them to accept that many of the things that get proposed amount to nothing more than stomping your feet and throwing a tantrum.
Realistically there are only 3 things that can force a change: the legislature (before the election), the courts (after the election), or the people (if we ever get mad enough to protest for real like the lefties do when they want to get their demands met).
Hi Hildy.
This wasn’t the hill to die on you couldn’t do anything about what those Democrats and RINO’s did in Phoenix and Tucson.
If you have to take a risk let it be to protect life and property.
That seems to be on the way due to COVID inflation and or Climate Change policy implosion of the economy.
The Democrats are not making up the laws. This is all in State Statute. It’s just we’ve never been through this before. Uncharted waters. This is all about Maricopa County. Four out of five Republican Supervisors on that Board handed over Arizona to the Democrats without even a fight. I told one of them that they are laughing at how easy it was. I also asked him if the thought the Democrats would have rolled over so quickly and easily as the did. Of course not. We are in a very very bad time here in America.
“The feeling seems to be that the Democrats are going to steal the election.”
No, the Democrats have already stolen the election. We missed the opportunity to prevent it, now we have a small window to perhaps correct it, but that can only happen if we win in court.
recounts are useless if they just count the images from the machines. Abe is fighting to have ALL BALLOTS counted. If that happens, a lot of our questions would be answered, But, of course, Maricopa is fighting that.
So you want me to be arrested and don’t care about all the conservative votes that would be lost? Isn’t that the ultimate disenfranchisement?
Kick the can down the road.
Thank you.
The problem is with election laws that provide no statutory means to prove that fraud occurred and no remedy if it did.
As in all things, actions that are not illegal will never be punished or outcomes affected. No one knows this better than the Governor-elect.
I have two questions. First question: on scale of 0 to 10, how do you personally rate 2022 voter fraud in your county?
0 = there was essentially none
10 = it was a major problem
Second question: Assuming you didn’t pick a “10” above, would you have refused to certify the election if it were a 10?
Please note that I said “personally rate” above. I guess I’m just asking for your gut feeling, as opposed to you having irrefutable evidence in the matter.
Thanks
I only did after an https://arizonadailyindependent.com/ article this morning. Does Lake get an automatic recount as well (at .5 difference with Hobbs). That an the Washington Examiner are at least two resources in the swamp of media trash.
My Dad lost 18 friends inside 2 minutes over Hanoi one night. He got back in the plane and went downtown again, the very next night. Time to make a stand against these tyrant goons. Arrest you for WHAT? Refusing to vote the way they want?
100% true. Now the lawsuits begin. There was one County who did not certify. Cochise County. They have already had lawsuits dumped on them by the State, AG office and voters (probably Democrat) for disenfranchising them. You have to hand it to Democrats - they are always organized and prepared. Never us. I spoke to Kari Lake’s legal advisor during the break yesterday. He agreed that there is nothing we can do. He likened it to 2020 when Trump wanted Pence to not certify and throw it back to the States. In that situation Pence could have done that. Pence stated that it’s just an administrative rubber stamp and he could not do that. How this lawyer explained it to me is that what he said was what Counties are - rubber stamps - but Pence could have thrown it to the States.
