Let McCarthy lose a couple of votes on the 3rd. Force him to remove his name from contention, so we get another choice. We're tired of the game.
With a slim majority I suppose that that’s possible. And in the Senate...if Walker wins (unlikely given Rat Party voter fraud) the GOP could try to flip Manchin.

My guess is some democrats will cross the isle and vote for the some corrupt worthless person like McCarty rather than risk letting a competent person become speaker.

If McCarthy isn’t the House Speaker, then who is? The Republican who challenged him and got all of 30 votes among his fellow Republicans?
Who’re the alternatives? The names that come to my mind are not representatives, but senators. So I am kind of clueless here.

To have a democrat as Speaker, it would require Republicans to vote for him. Maybe we should be worried.
He received a majority of votes. Andy Biggs got 40? How can Andy possibly get 218? It’s gonna be Kevin McCarthy all this noise it’s just crap.
They need to put their demands in writing. I agree with what they are asking for, the distribution of power back to the members, legislation should be individual issues, legislation should go through committees. Just spell it out, if McCarthy won’t agree, don’t vote for him but put it in writing.
I’m old enough to remember the contest for the speakership in 2011. Out of Roy Blunt, John Shadegg and John Boehner the Rs selected the least effective Speaker (Boehner), particulary in the age of 0bamacare (should have been Shadegg).
