Violent crime comes to previously peaceful and safe Martha’s Vineyard. And guess why?

The previously unimaginable has happened: The storybook island of Martha’s Vineyard, the seasonal home of billionaires and hundreds of elite cultural and political movers and shakers, not to mention one of three year-round homes of the Obamas, has finally experienced that rarity previously limited to the mainland: violent gun crime. And surprise: The alleged perpetrators are not MAGA white nationalists. Rather, evidence so far points to migrants, possibly of the illegal kind.

This is a bitter pill for most Vineyard residents to swallow. The island’s six towns have all declared themselves to be sanctuary communities. Last September, the island rallied (a.k.a. virtue signaled) around fifty illegal migrants who were flown there at the direction of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis – before they were bussed and ferried off the island less than two days later.

A violent wake-up call

Last Thursday, November 17, minutes after it opened for the day, a small bank in the island town of Vineyard Haven was invaded by three armed masked men. They threatened, subdued and duct taped the employees and proceeded to make off in a stolen car with an undetermined amount of cash – after brandishing semiautomatic handguns to intimidate the bank personnel.

Nothing like this crime has ever been seen on Martha’s Vineyard. Previously, the crime rate on the small island off the southern coast of Massachusetts was almost non-existent, confined to things like DUIs and the occasional passing of a bad check. But now, like many other blue communities that have declared themselves to be sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, things are changing.

Many residents of overwhelmingly Democrat Martha’s Vineyard declare themselves to be “abolitionists” who subscribe to the Critical Race Theory that the U.S. is a racist country that continues to require the abolition of systemic racism.

White liberal 'elites' of the Vineyard need to live more in the style of the America they've pushed on us with their stupid filthy elitist ideas (that they exempt themselves from) - - they need more 'diversity', more homeless, more of their kids dying from drug overdoses, more criminals and lots more illegals.

The man arrested was a Jamaican immigrant. He was employed as a landscaper.
Apparently, he was not making a livable wage mowing rich peoples lawns. So, him and his buddies decided to rob a bank.

He most likely overstayed his visa. ‘
At one point in time New England used to get a fair amount of Jamaican here on work visas. They would pick apples here in NH in the fall. They might have also worked the cranberry bogs down on Cape Cod too.

Most of them were decent hard working guys. They would return to Jamaica in late fall before winter. They would work the tourist season down in the Caribbean. Then return in the spring to pick produce from Florida all the way up to Maine in the fall.

Sad to say but their two dumb semi-trashy girls say it all. They love how they have relatively straight hair.

Back in 1988 driving from Connecticut to Philly, we passed through Greenwich and then into NYC on the S. Bronx Expressway.

I remember telling myself that if the people living in the projects in NYC ever got a way to get out and found out how the folks live in Greenwich, that they would have a field day pillaging that place.

So, my thoughts are that some of these folks were paying attention to the news about Martha’s Vineyard and the loving embrace of the illegals, and figured it was easy pickings and headed out to get some for themselves.

Apparently they didn’t do a good enough job rounding up all the immigrants to send back to the mainland the other day.

I don't remember there being a lot of crime in Martha's Vineyard in the past.

The only crime I can remember was some Senator drove his car off a wooden bridge in the middle of the night and left his young lady intern passenger in it to drown while he swam across an inlet to get to his motel room and concoct an alibi. I seem to remember a neck brace involved and a black Oldsmobile car. I can't recall his name right off hand, but I think her name was Mary Jo, ... uh, ... something-or-other?

It was a long time ago. Probably nobody remembers it. If I recall, the Senator went on to be very famous with a lot of power and changed the face of America, so I guess whatever "crime" was involved was really not too bad?

Sutton’s law states that

when diagnosing,
one should first consider the obvious.

It suggests that one should first conduct those tests which could confirm the most likely diagnosis.
