The woke stuff really accelerated under Iger. Though there was some of it in Eisner’s tenure he was vocally against Disney getting too political.

Disney watchers are saying that Iger is much more "Woke" than Chapek and, in fact, Chapek was Iger's choice for CEO.

When we consider that the Woke movement is an organic cultural wave (organic in that it didn't need to be created and organized by any sponsoring organization, it just sprang up "organically"), it makes sense that Disney would be a ripe candidate for it. The Woke movement is a kind of Neverland-seeking force. Its members are trying to escape adulthood (i.e., reality/responsibility) and spend their lives in a fantasy world.

Disney is not only a breeding ground for such thinking, it actually created movies and films to spread it. Disney is the perfect place for the Woke movement to thrive (in much the same way that pedophiles are attracted to places where children gather).

In other words, the Woke forces within Disney are similar to a lynch mob. They don't think, they just act and react. It seems that both Chapek and Iger before him were willing participants in that internal culture.

What I think that Disney has yet to realize is that the “woke” people don’t have as many kids (so the Disney toys and games aren’t purchased) or the disposable income to spend at Disney parks.
The “woke” movement seems to primarily consist of very loud young people that are pissed off about their self-created position in the world. In short, “woke is broke”.
Why corporations are caving to it is yet to be determined.

"Could be worse!"

"How could it POSSIBLY be WORSE?"

"Could be Michael Eisner"

"Hmmm - OK - you got me there"

If you enjoy wholesome family entertainment, you are going to be watching a lot of gay performers.

I remember watching Disney channel about 15 odd years ago and it was disgusting with teens doing and saying anything, with absent parents and low morals.

My own kids don’t have Disney (or any TV or streaming) channel and I think they are better adjusted for that

“A lot of these issues are not necessarily political. It’s about right and wrong,” Iger said.

This is their religion, they have no god. This is why they are dangerous. They are the epitome of evil.

Hoping at least Disney divests some of their acquired properties as they circle the drain.

Their “skill” at buying up and “magically” turning previously successful franchises(like the Marvel characters and Star Wars) into trash needs to end.

Sure, most of the people in charge of those franchises were lefty (like Lucas), but they were aware that, business-wise, there are some lines you don’t cross. Current Disney management is all about full steam ahead on the agenda at any cost and taking a dump on the fanbases as being too “white/male/conservative”.

Don’t expect Disney to change. Iger is just another perverted cog in their disgusting machine.

Once a great company.
Now just another run of the mill woke company.

We’re visiting the daughter and her husband for Thanksgiving. They have the Disney+ channel. I scrolled thru the channel’s offerings...nothing I wanted to watch. Between the animated kid’s movies and the Marvel action movies with many of the loudmouth lefty actors...there was nothing of interest.
