Former Attorney General William Bar on Monday called for a new leader of the Republican Party, warning in a blistering rebuke that former President Trump “will burn the whole house down.”
“Unless the rest of the party goes along with him, he will burn the whole house down by leading ‘his people’ out of the GOP,” Barr said in a scathing op-ed published in the New York Post on Monday.

He probably just went with the “winds of time” as so many others are doing. Americans have lost their strength of purpose.
He wasn’t a “lousy judge of character.” Quite the opposite. He was simply a newcomer to DC and didn’t know the people and their secret history as well as the insiders did.
He made a few mistakes because of this—and corrected them don’t forget.
All of his hires who had to be fired were known to the insiders, who could have encouraged these wrong picks.
I think he knows a lot more now and a lot more people who will give him the right advice, not the purposely wrong advice—or to be a bit more kind, not the advice that would secretly seal some kind of personal deal for someone. This is DC, after all.
He may need to so off on his own, or at least threaten to go off on his own. I hope he never has to do it, but what must be must be.
