Russia has been burning through equipment, ammunition and weaponry at rates that have raised questions about how effectively and for how long it can continue to prosecute its war against Ukraine.
The challenge of sustaining the military effort isn’t unique to Russia, which after making significant territorial gains early in the war has been yielding territory back to Ukraine in phases.
Both sides have suffered heavy losses of men and materiel since the invasion began in February, but Moscow is more dependent on its own shrinking economy to replenish supplies than Kyiv is. Ukraine’s economy has been more devastated than Russia’s, but has more powerful backers in the U.S. and its allies, which are providing billions of dollars of military and economic aid.
“They are running low on everything,” Eliot Cohen, chair in strategy at the Washington, D.C.-based bipartisan Center for Strategic and International Studies, said of the Russians. A significant proportion of the Russian arsenal brought out of storage has deteriorated because of corruption, mismanagement and poor maintenance, he said.

Tell me now that the Russians are running out of energy Snake.
We are purchasing artillery shells from South Korea to give to Ukraine. What is the status of our war reserves?
based on the current flurries of missile attacks on Ukraine - plus the recent sheer screech level of the Russian trolls here - it almost looks like Russia is trying to force a ceasefire, and soon, to lock in their gains
Russia has a massive industrial capacity, with no environmental restrictions. And they can get stuff from China, Iran, and elsewhere. Some Russian used Chinese weapons have been captured/destroyed by Ukraine.
Maybe the plan all along. Wear down the west’s war reserves in Ukraine then attack in the east.
Russia will lose at least 25% of her fighting men this winter... they do not have the equipment and supplies to support and protect their troops over the winter!
Is this the same BS article you posted in February or March or April (four times) or May or next month or next year? What a putz, scraping the bottom of your media masters’ feeding trough.
you live in Russia?
“Russia will lose at least 25% of her fighting men this winter... they do not have the equipment and supplies to support and protect their troops over the winter!”
No surprise as few countries understand how cold it can get outside of their borders.
What were our war reserves both US AND EUROPE for? Seems they were for a war with Russia and that is what is happening through Ukraine. They are being used to destroy and degrade Russian military equipment and manpower. Whether this war should have been fought can be debated, but as long as it is happening the weapons and ammunition in warehouses meant for a war with Russia are being used for their purpose. If the stock is running low that just points out a flaw in logistics as these numbers if not sufficient to supply the Ukrainians in their fight would not have been adequate if there was a war between NATO and Russia as well.
Lots of flaws have been exposed by this “special military operation”
Russian military capabilities and doctrine
Hypocrisy and lies of European green energy to name just two
This war should never have happened the weakness of the west politically, dependence on Russian energy to prop up their green energy sham
Past Russian aggression that was not dealt with gave the Russian leader the belief that he could continue his expansion of the new Soviet Union without serious consequences.
Similar to the appeasement and “peace in our time” of hitler, he believed that the west would react as they had before to his invasion of Poland.
Like hitler Putin miscalculated, but even if the west had not gone to war over Poland invasion hitler was not going to stop as I understand their war plans were for an all out war starting in 45 or 46. Likewise I don’t believe Putin would have stopped with Ukraine
Just my 2 cents
I’d say it’s time to hint at a nuclear attack again. Who knows, maybe the west will cave this time.
Why so many cruise missiles ? A historical look at the tactics why the Russians have built so many variants.
It appears that the Russians have the capability of only producing about a hundred missiles per month of low quality parts and materials, at best.

When pulling numbers out of a hat, using round number values are not very convincing. Using odd numbers actually makes the propaganda look more authoritative.
“Russians have the capability of only producing about a hundred missiles per month of low quality parts and materials, at best” - OK
“Russians have the capability to produce 93 missiles per month of low quality parts and materials.” - Better
Your ignorance is too deep to put on display by so long a post.
Wow. He posted an article months before it appeared in the newspaper he posted it from? That’s pretty impressive.
They have been posting this regurgitated trash since March. Where have you been?
And it never gets cold in Russia. They have no idea what is in store for them. 🤡
NATO and the West are able and willing to provide more and better gear. As long as the west keeps backing Ukraine, Russia is going to lose the war of attrition, if the increasingly better trained and equipped Ukrainians don’t beat them on the battlefield with a succession of tactical victories changing the overall strategic situation as they have been doing first.
