I just heard, Adam Frisch called Lauren Boebert to concede, avoining a recount.

I think you are right. People with the Clinton campaign wanted a recount in Michigan in 2016. I believe that the Demorat political machine in Detroit quashed that request almost immediately. As I recall one precint with 300 registered votes had about 500 ballots marked-all for Hillary.

I remember comma usage from my second quarter class of Freshman English, Winter, 1968.

Who knows, maybe this Frisch guy has a shred or two of decency about him.

But the real “eats shoots and leaves” talks about the panda’s diet.
“Eats, shoots and leaves” and “Eats, shoots, and leaves” mean exactly the same thing. The panda had a bite to eat, then shot the gun and then left the scene.
It’s the comma after “Eats” that changes the meaning. Not the second optional comma.
