Chuck Schumer has apparently had an epiphany — without serfs, there can be no lord.

Yesterday, the re-elected Senate leader addressed a crowd of reporters, and recognized a serious issue plaguing America, “Now more than ever, we’re short of workers.”

But don’t fret, the fearless leader has a solution: fill the void with foreign-born invaders, and grant them citizenship.

Citing the shortage, Schumer announced his party’s reinvigorated support for amnesty and citizenship for the illegal populations currently within our (fluid) borders — amnesty because these aliens are criminals for already having already violated America’s laws, and citizenship so they can officially become tax slaves, and of course, vote Democrat. In fact, disdain for the American identity and zero desire to assimilate is a bonus.

Did you catch the kicker? “We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to.”

Quickly, let’s go through a brief, but relevant sequence of events:

1. Roe v. Wade legalizes national abortion.

2. Democrats champion abortion, citing it as a panacea to overpopulation, the oppressive patriarchy, and recently, inflation.

3. Abortion currently kills more than 2,300 Americans every day.

4. America experiences a worker shortage.

I don’t even think it is abortion. We normalized dual income families and loan terms so long if you consider average life expectancies they are practically renting from the bank. Daycare eats most of a median income salary and your risking losing your kid ideologically anymore. To have a stay at home parent is not impossible but requires earning 2 times median income or becoming an indentured servant to a bank. A unhealthy portion of the births taking place are partially or fully supported by the taxpayer these are net zero births GDP and social security wise which is the real problem. Additionally a large majority of the abortions would have also have been supported by the gov’t if supported. The taxpayers are supporting children, just not their own children. The net payer is funding the replacement of a net consumer and they can’t figure out how to produce net payers.

Democrats have screwed up the employment situation so badly we have a worker shortage that shouldn’t exist. In addition to the incentives to not work while getting government money, employers have their hands tied and only allow workers limited hours so those who want to work are underemployed. Our daughter has a job with a fluctuating schedule limited to I believe 30 hours. Most entry level jobs are limited hours, and without a set schedule it’s impossible ro commit to a second job, likely that would have limited hours at the whim of the work scheduler.

If the free market was actually working, benefits would adjust, wages would adjust, and we oiled have a much improved country.

Births 3.6M Clearly this is growth in population — except —

Quite a lot of the population is elderly and cannot work.

700K legal green cards handed out 2020, this was down from 2019, Covid

Illegals are presently 3.3% of the total population, down from 4.3% in 2008. Self deportation has been the norm as the economy weakened during the decade+ of QE.

The point is that this 3.3% of the population are child bearing age, typically, if half are women. 1.6 million, and to be more conservative call it 1 million. If half have a child in a given year, that would define the growth in birth totals.

So population would decline, as it does in most of Europe, without immigration, legal or illegal.
