Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said Monday on FNC’s “Special Report” that former President Donald Trump was losing his influence on the Republican Party.
When asked about Trump losing his grip on the GOP, Hume said, “Well, I have thought for some time – and there’s polling on this that reflects this – that while he maintains real influence within the Republican Party, no two ways about that, but it has begun to fade. It started fading, really, I think, after his antics post-election in 2020, that a great many people with him perhaps up until then began to move away from him.”

We don’t do coronations in the USA. Trump, DeSantis, whoever needs to earn their nomination. I do not believe Trump can win in 2024 and his actions since 2020 show he is not worthy of the job. He refuses accountability, refuses to fight smart, refuses to do the work that will build a winning coalition again in a general election. Like it or not, we put up Trump’s choice candidates in 2022 and they were rejected again and again in key races. Can’t argue with the cold hard facts. Trump is a drag on the America First movement.
