RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE CAMPAIGN ASSESSMENT, NOVEMBER 11
ISW ^ | Nov 11, 2022 | Karolina Hird, Grace Mappes, Riley Bailey, Kateryna Stepanenko, and Frederick W. Kagan

Ukrainian forces are completing the liberation of the western (right) bank of Kherson Oblast after the Russians retreated from it. The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed that Russian forces completed the withdrawal to the eastern (left) bank of the Dnipro River at 5am local time on November 11.[1] While contingents of Russian soldiers likely remain on the west bank, they are likely scattered throughout the Oblast and attempting to retreat as Ukrainian forces push towards the Dnipro River, although some may have remained behind to attempt to conduct partisan activities in small groups. It is unclear how many Russian soldiers remain on the west bank at this time. Russian sources noted that the withdrawal lasted three days and claimed that 20,000 Russian personnel and 3,500 units of military equipment moved across the Dnipro River.[2]

Satellite imagery corroborates statements made by both Ukrainian and Russian sources that Russian troops destroyed the Antonivsky Bridge and Railway Bridge (near Kherson City) and the Nova Kakhovka dam bridge (east of Kherson City near Nova Kakhovka) over the Dnipro River and the Darivka Bridge (northeast of Kherson City) over the Inhulets River in a final attempt to block Ukrainian advances towards central Kherson Oblast (see images in-line with text).[3] Geolocated satellite imagery also indicates that Russian troops have prepared first and second lines of defense south of the Dnipro River and will likely continue efforts to consolidate positions on the left bank in the coming days.[4]

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE CAMPAIGN ASSESSMENT, NOVEMBER 11, buwaya wrote:

Graft based in Ukraine keeps the US regime alive? Oh what a sweet innocent child.

The US itself produces all the financing of this US regime, and any other that will ever need to be “controlled”. Have you any idea how much money depends (just) on manipulation of US regulatory agencies? Ukraine is a small and poor country. Even all of Russia controls a tiny fraction of assets and income streams that the US Feds regulate. Even China ... but you get my point.

Biden is a figurehead, a puppet, and all his minders and the committee that controls his speech and acts, his “administration”, are just hirelings. You think that the matter of Ukraine is about the petty cash to pay these trivial creatures off?

As above - you sweet, innocent child.

Are you unaware that Joe Biden has given the Ukraine 60 billion dollars of Americans' tax dollars and that Joe Biden, a.k.a. "the big guy" gets a cut of those 60 billion dollars? As does his brother Jim Biden, as does his son Hunter Biden, as does Pelosi's son, Schumers son, and someone tied to Mitt Romney?

Most of the money gets divided among those who created the current puppet regime and since our CIA helped install the current Ukrainian puppets, the US is a benefactor.

Just because Biden said 'foreign aid' is being sent to the Ukraine doesn't mean it ever leaves the country. If Biden, Schumer, Pelosi, Romney all have ties to corruption (Burisma etc.) and we have Joe Biden extorting protection for Hunter on video tape, then we have the Democrat leadership of this country dirty in Ukraine, sucking billions from Ukraine. And because all are dirty there, those who have evidence of Democrat corruption in Ukraine then can extort Brandon, Pelosi, Schumer etc. with threats of exposure. There's lots of evidence - who is using it right now to tell BIden, "Do as we say or we'll release proof of your corruption in the Ukraine...."

You should watch that video link about Biden and Support for the Ukraine (below) I keep posting - look at the evidence that Ukrainian leadership raised the electric utility rates for all Ukrainians to cover the expense of 'doing business' with Biden(s). Check out the corruption of the US state department, the fraud involving American funding of 'technical support' in the Ukraine. The citizens are used as props while the Democrat leadership and Deep State' den of theives uses the Ukraine for their Slavic version of 'what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.' Foreign aid doesn't reach foreign citizens - it funds Dem regime leadership and corruption around the world.

Surely, Obama must be getting his portion of the 'foreign aid' packages.

Support for Zelensky/Ukraine is support for Biden/Deep State

Russian propaganda sucks. It is intended for a domestic audience, not an international one. They cant sell Russia, much less this war. Nobody there can play this game.

Thats definitely a problem with its leadership. They are incredibly insular, and moreover they are dedicated to being dickheads - being an open public dickhead probably works in Russia, but what does that say about Russia? If I were Putin I would make everyone read “How to win friends and influence people”, Dale Carnegie.

“Russian propaganda sucks.”

As you apparently continue to blatantly ignore the overabundance of pro-Ukrainian propaganda and peddlers....

Awesome sauce.

Mexico was never part of the United States

There are millions of Mexicans native to Texas, for example, who have been here since before Texas joined the USA. And yet there is no serious move by any of these people or the State of Texas, which is heavily intertwined with the history and culture and demographics of Mexico, to ever even think about, for a moment, invading and raping Mexico, nor even vice versa. Most Hispanic Texans with deep roots, who have been here for generations, are generally the most Pro-American of citizens and more Texan than most Texans. Many own thousands of acres of ranch land (such as my own family), have served as the first Sheriffs, Doctors, or Mayors of many cities, have joined the military and served faithfully. The entire concept of the "Cowboy" comes from their Mexican counterpart, which the American version adopted many traits of.

And yet the Russian impulse to rape and pillage random countries doesn't enter into them at all, or into any Texan of whatever ethnicity, who shares in a common Spanish-American culture. There was no Texas invasion of Georgia--only a Russian invasion of Georgia. There was no Texas invasion of Mexico--only a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Had Mexico once been part of the U.S and became a new state that sought to erase the culture and language of the English speakers

Luckily this never actually happened in Ukraine, despite Russians repeating this lie over and over again.

You're talking about military aid, which means actual equipment, not literal dollar amounts. The weapons are worth that much (I am not sure how much actual cash has been sent, but it is not 60 billion), and no, there is no evidence of Biden getting 10% of the Excalibur 150mm artillery shells personally sent to his home. Nor is there any evidence of Ukraine selling these weapons to third parties (US forces are actually in Ukraine monitoring these inventories and have found no misallocation despite Russian claims to the contrary).

All the more reason for the U.S to cease the decent into being caught up in the fight between slavs in a European backwater and focus on the real enemy, China. In fact, the U.S should be courting Russia to keep China concerned about a 2 front war. If Ukraine territorial integrity has to sacrificed for the bigger picture of the security of Pacific region to achieve Russian assistance, than so be it.

Russia and China have been long time allies and share the United States as their mortal enemy. I am aware that FR Putinists, who have a short memory span, think Russia and China working together is a new thing, but it is actually very old.

Putin has nothing to fear from a fellow totalitarian terror regime. China would never do something so stupid as attack Russia, which they need if they ever want to fight and win WW3.

$60 Billion is - .6% of the 9 Trillion in (reported) assets of just Blackrock, just one US financial entity. And thats just finance. How much do you think are the stakes these people are playing for? How much is the skim off a ridiculously complex, highly regulated economy? US “national wealth” is in the vicinity of $153 Trillion, though probably only God knows what it all comes to. Go get out your calculator.

60 billion isnt even pocket change, its pocket lint.

In the US you are facing those veritable thrones, dominions, principalities and powers. Understand what you are looking at.

“Chicom Russian United Front are obvious.”

Russia could have been a useful ally in confronting China, but the cold war warriors just couldn’t let go. But tis not too late hopefully to seek court Russia and steer them away from China’s orbit. The U.S cannot fight China and Russia Better to fight China with Russia as a useful ally. Just like the old days in the fight against Hitler. If China doesn’t have to worry about its’ rear than it will be hell for the U.S, just like if Hitler had not to worry about his eastern flank

What I said stands. Your friends cant even get a foot in the door with a positive message or image. And that is with Europe, where the media is mostly uncontrolled vs that of the US.

Something else I should point out: The USA going to rescue Americans is one thing.

Russkies using the presence of any Russian on someone’s soil to rape and murder is quite another.

This excuse was used in Georgia when Russia invaded in 2008, where Russia had setup a Russkie separatist region inside a sovereign non-Russian country. This excuse is behind the Russkie enclave in Moldavia. This excuse was used to create the Russkie separatist enclave in Ukraine—which was never an independent creature, as all its “leaders”, who by the way were open Nazis and Stalinists, had been trained in Russian military camps and operated under the supervision of the FSB. In some cases, the leaders themselves were FSB operatives, like Igor Girkin.

You can’t possibly believe that any of Russia’s stated claims are legitimate or that the presence of a single Russian somewhere justifies the Russian regime in annexing huge swathes of other countries.

The soviets and Chinese fought quite a few border skirmishes.. And were a few times in bed with each other against the Americans due to the commie thang. But Russia is no longer a commie country ( though some freepers continue to think so). U.S policy, if it really is interested in heading off Chinese domination, should be focused on driving a wedge bewteen Russia and China. Not pushing Russia even further into China’s orbit

In October the numbers were $60B authorized out of which $17B had been disbursed.

https://www.voanews.com/a/white-house-pushes-back-concerns-that-ukraine-support-is-waning/6797212.html

>The United States has authorized more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine, with more than $17 billion in security assistance disbursed since the war began in February.

... and you’re of course right that the military aid is actual weapons and ammo not pallets of cash.

The soviets and Chinese fought quite a few border skirmishes

According to KGB defectors like Anatoliy Golitsyn, the border skirmishes were false flags agreed upon by Russia and China themselves, and KGB agents both at home and abroad were encouraged to inform (and repeat as often as possible) their American/Western sources about the split between the USSR and the CCP.

But Russia is no longer a commie country ( though some freepers continue to think so).

Russia is a degenerate kleptocracy ruled by the "former" Communists who ruled during the USSR days. That is essentially what a communist regime really is deep down when you strip away the ideology. The fact that Russia is still ruled by the same people who terrorized it during the USSR days should tell you something. This is like if Nazis still ran Germany.

U.S policy, if it really is interested in heading off Chinese domination, should be focused on driving a wedge bewteen Russia and China.

We tried this. Ask Nixon. This is how China became a threat to begin with.
