I’m curious why so many expect DeSantis to declare he’s not running in ‘24, and/or pledge his support for Trump, when Trump himself hasn’t even said he’s running. This is all kinda silly at the moment, for all involved...

For every die hard Trump supporter out there, there are two who simply can't stand him. I voted for him in 2020, and if he's the nominee in 2024, I'll vote for him again. I'm just going to let the primaries play themselves out.

If Desantis doesn’t back off and declare he is not running in ‘24 he may never get elected to anything again.
Only because it is true.
I wrote that realizing he is human. I don’t agree with
everything he does, but I don’t cut and run at the first
sign of a few things not going as I wish.
Our team won’t find as good or better man for our times.
He’ll produce again, and increase the numbers of like
minded people we want on Capital Hill.
He has clout, like it or not. No one but no one has
this level of it.

DeSantis isn’t gonna dirty himself. He’s too smart for that.
Trump will run this time and DeSantis will next time. He knows Trump will drag him down into the mud with him and that will do nothing but hurt DeSantis. If Trump can shut his damn yap and stop hurting himself he should easily defeat old diaper man.
Trump isn’t just shooting himself in his own foot. He’s shot both feet and is cutting his legs off at the knees. Maybe losing in 2020 in the way it happened - cheating or not - bumped him over. But he is making it ALL about Trump. If he keeps it up, he won’t win if he runs. Not even the GOP primary.

I think you completely missed the point of my post, which is all of these posts are essentially pointless until Trump announces.
