Robert Zimmerman, a business owner and Democratic activist, faced George Santos, a Republican who attended the Jan. 6 rally, for the seat Tom Suozzi vacated. They appear to be the first two openly gay House candidates to compete in a general election.

RESULT: George Santos defeated Robert Zimmerman 54.2% to 45.8%

Peter King endorsed Andrew Garbarino (R) defeated Jackie Gordon (D) 60.9% to 39.1% for the NY-District 2 Congressional Seat once held by Peter King

Sweep of Long Island....

Coincidentally Bill O’Reilly lives on Long Island. Maybe he did some leafletting.😁

Long Island also went FOR Lee Zeldin bigly.

Unfortunately, his is not enough to overcome the overwhelming numbers from New York City.

Have the GOP locked up the House, or is it "expected"? We've been crushed by expectations this election.

YES, YES, YES, ZELDIN WAS WONDERFUL THROUGHOUT THE CAMPAIGN.

I have a feeling Lee is NOT going away.

He is talented, strong, efficient and will have a great career in the future. Hopefully, helping our cause.

They can downplay the significance of this all they want, but for CDs in the NYC area to flip republican, is a way bigger deal than they realize.

Yes it is. Even AOC called it out (in a bad way!) as an unexpected win for Rs.

O’rielly said the zeldin downfall was the black vote in Harlem and surrounding areas. So they voted for more murder, rape, drugs, gangs, no bail, early release and kaos, most of which they are in business with, enjoy the results. Horse face Hochul sees you but doesn’t hear you

New York is tied with Florida for most districts flipped to Republicans, with four — Districts 3 and 4 on Long Island, Districts 17 and 19 upstate.

District 22 around Syracuse has not been called yet, but the Republican has a narrow lead.

I suspect they were so incredibly confident of the vote in these districts, that they didn’t bother to put effort into fraud there.

I really am coming to believe that very, very few democrats would be elected anywhere without considerable fraud.
