Republicans under-performed across the country Tuesday, with Donald Trump-endorsed nominees losing or trailing in swing districts and Senate and gubernatorial races.
Trump endorsed more than 400 candidates across the 2022 midterms, according to Ballotpedia, making his presence felt in swing races in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona. In all three states, Trump-endorsed candidates have under-performed.
Fox News and NBC have projected that Democrat John Fetterman will defeat Republican Mehmet Oz in the Keystone State, and Democrat Josh Shapiro is projected to defeat Republican Doug Mastriano in its gubernatorial contest. Trump’s endorsement helped Oz through a heavily-contested primary, despite misgivings from many conservatives.
Both Masters and Lake won divided primaries that pitted Trump endorsees against candidates supported by former Vice President Mike Pence. They trail Democrats Mark Kelly and Katie Hobbs, respectively. Many polls had shown Lake with a small lead against Hobbs, who refused to debate the Republican and was hobbled by a racial discrimination lawsuit.
Incumbent Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp comfortably defeated Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams, who conceded shortly after 11 p.m. Eastern time. Herschel Walker, on the other hand, trails incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock by fewer than 2,000 votes, and the two are almost certainly headed to an early December run-off.
Democrats have flipped three of the 10 Republican-held district listed toss-ups by the Cook Political Report, with the other seven races still outstanding. State Sen. Wiley Nickel defeated Trump-endorsed Bo Hines in North Carolina’s 13th District, and Cincinnati city councilman Greg Landsman defeated incumbent Rep. Steve Chabot in Ohio’s 1st District. Republican Rep. Mayra Flores lost her race against Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez in Texas’ 34th District, and incumbent Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar defeated former Ted Cruz staffer Cassy Garcia.
The GOP also struggled in several races where they were believed to hold a significant advantage. Democratic Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly leads Republican challenger Attorney General Derek Schmidt, although the race has not yet been called. Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert trails Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, although votes in many Republican-heavy areas in the district remain outstanding.
Republicans only needed to net five seats to take back the House of Representatives, and are still likely to do so. GOP challengers have picked up at least two seats in New York, and Republican Anna Paulina Luna won the Tampa-area district vacated by Democrat Charlie Crist.
Let’s face it! We live in a land full of retarded dumbasses.
And it’s only going to get worse.

With Warnock and Walker in a runoff those 2% libertarian votes come into play. It all depends on whether or not Raffensperger is going to let Democrats deluge the precincts with mail-in ballots from empty lots and PO Boxes.
Hopes dashed on the rocks? GOP will definitely take the House and could even get the Senate by 1.
A few days ago someone posted a story about Americans wanting more stimulus checks to cover inflation.
Given that you may be correct.
“Hopes dashed on the rocks” - like it’s a total disaster. NO, IT’S NOT. But someone would sure like for it to be.
America was established as a representative Republic. However, it has been allowed to govern as a democracy, which is little more than mob rule.
“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
We are now entering the bondage stage.
Yes. Please all the ‘goood’ people in Ga. get over Walker being a guy and vote for him. All you blue dog crossovers, get over the ‘I ain’t never going to vote for a darkie. I ain’t gonna disrespect my daddy’ attitude. Herman Talmadge is dead. This race is IMPORTANT.
I can’t wait for McCarthy & Mitch to sue for peace.
and illegals. Just wait until they start voting.
‘You mean like Water out of the Toilet?’

IDIOCRACY
I dunno about this narrative. Trump endorsed a lot of candidates who won and several more like Kari Lake, Blake Masters, etc who look like they will win.
Republicans underperformed expectations, yet look like they have won control over the House and probably the Senate as well. That’s a victory - just not one as large as they had expected.

Never forget: No matter how high inflation and gas prices get, no matter how bad crime gets, and no matter how many illegals overrun our country, the Dems will vote Blue, even when Blue politicians and policies caused all the problems. Party before country.
It’s not as if outside of DeSantis and Trump, the GOP has a lot to office, it’s still the party of China Mitch, and Romney at the end of the day, who is enthused about that?
s/b It’s not as if outside of DeSantis and Trump, the GOP has a lot to offer.
On the bright side, stacey abrams didn’t get elected. That won’t stop them from making her run for president in 2024. Seeing the level of self-doubting stupidity of the American public, that’s a reason for worrying.
Until we have legitimate elections more than half the country is going to be held hostage by criminals.
