Longtime Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre has agreed to drop her defamation lawsuit against former Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz – saying Tuesday that she may have made a “mistake” in identifying him as one of the men she was forced to have sex with.
In a stipulation dismissing the Manhattan federal court suit, attorneys for Giuffre and Dershowitz said neither party would be awarded costs or legal fees as part of the settlement.
“I now recognize I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz,” Giuffre, 39, said in a statement. “However, I was very young at the time, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment.
“This litigation has been very stressful and burdensome for me and my family, and we believe it is time to bring it to an end and move on with our lives,” she said.

Sounds like Dersh’s ‘mob’ got to her...
“However, I was very young at the time, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment. “

Ouch. That’s an ill-advised public statement to make if she has any other cases, now or in the future. That could be used against her in court.
Dershowitz has always struck me as being an honorable man. Knowing about all the false accusations that have been raised against Trump. possibly this has been a false accusation too.
That’s right. If she make a mistake then, when else was she mistaken? Prince So-& So in England may be interested, seeing as he had to pay out millions of pounds from the RF.
Let’s see if any of the PizzaGate believers around here who were defaming Dersh want to walk it back now...
Too bad! Too late! You now “own” her Alan!!
Sounds like the deep state wanted to distract Alan Dershowitz from helping Trump. Oh try suing someone, get to this point and tell the Judge, "oops, I made a mistake" and see if they waive fees and do not discuss charges against you for wasting the court's time and perpetrating a fraud on the court....
He has been a very public figure. Lots of speaking engagements.
I still get Alan Dershowitz and Woody Allen mixed up all the time.
I expect her making a statement like this was part of the settlement agreement that Dershowitz demanded. I can’t see him agreeing to drop his defamation case without getting some kind of statement clearing his name.
I doubt very much Dershowitz wants to punish this woman. She’s a sympathetic figure, someone who was systematically abused as a child by the most powerful figures in the world. She’s cleared the record and I’ll bet he’d prefer to just move on and let it be forgotten that it was ever a thing.
Prince Andrew made a big mistake. I believe that there are very powerful people who would see to it that Giuffre never gets asked on the witness stand, “Who else did you have sex with?”
Must be nice to have so much money and such power.
I’m pretty sure that there are photos of Randy Andy with Giuffre though...
I know that they always claim to be innocent, but Dershowitz was unusually confident that he was not guilty. Body language and demeanor can sometimes give these guys away, yet Dershowitz seemed fearless of the accusations. Maybe it was an act, but I kind of believed him.
No, Dershowitz admits to visiting the island with his WIFE.
He was Epstein’s lawyer in his first criminal case in Florida.
He was also listed on the flight logs of Epstein’s plane flying to St. Thomas, USVI airport from Palm, Beach.
This in no way means that he had sex with a girl under the age of consent.
I did not believe Prince Andrew.
Sounds more like the Democrats tried to target Dershowitz bc he’s literally the last intellectually honest liberal alive, so he defended Trump not because he liked Trump but because it was the right thing to do.
I don’t agree with him much, but he’s a liberal, not an authoritarian leftist.
Huge difference.
Yep
