But I thought Putin was fighting for God and Ukraine was Satan?

That’s great Christian warrior Vladimir Lenin.

Update on Russian military operations in and around Ukraine for November 5, 2022

- US assistance to Ukraine increasingly depends on "refurbishing" antiquated weapons kept in storage as current inventories of weapons run low;
- Russian tanks continue to roll out of factories while those in storage are also being upgraded and deployed;
- British state media admits Ukraine faces difficulties in taking Kherson city;
- Russian forces continue preparing for protracted combat while Ukraine races against the clock in terms of energy, economics, and material support for combat operations

The Tokyo Rose story is not exactly as sold...

The FBI has NEVER been a clean operation.

Tokyo Rose ceased to be merely a symbol during September 1945 when Iva Toguri D’Aquino, a Japanese-American disc jockey for a propagandist radio program, attempted to return to the United States.[1] Toguri was accused of being the “real” Tokyo Rose, arrested, tried, and became the seventh person in US history to be convicted of treason.[1] Toguri was eventually paroled from prison in 1956, but it was more than 20 years later that she received an official presidential pardon for her role in the war.[1]

In 1974, investigative journalists found that important witnesses had asserted that they were forced to lie during testimony. They stated that FBI and US occupation police had coached them for more than two months about what they should say on the stand, and that they had been threatened with treason trials themselves if they did not cooperate. US President Gerald Ford pardoned Toguri in 1977 based on these revelations and earlier issues with the indictment.

But, only a fool would argue that country with 13% flat tax rate and is spending $2.5 billion a year building churches in communist.

Lenin wasn't exactly big on the church building thing IIRC.

“But who destroyed the Nazis? It was the Soviets.”

Only in Russia and the east.

The Soviets were not involved at all in the allied invasions of North Africa or Sicily or the Italian peninsula or the Low Countries or France. They weren’t involved at all on the seas.

And they only jumped into the war against the Japanese after Japan had been nuked at Hiroshima, and on the same day that Nagasaki was nuked, and Japan was already defeated (but had not yet accepted the Allies’ terms of unconditional surrender). At that, it did not fight in the Pacific at all, but only moved into Manchuria and Mongolia against a weakened and broken down remnant force of Japanese conscripts and impressed Koreans, as the Japanese troops with combat experience had been sent to fight the US in the Pacific.

The Soviets deserve a great deal of credit for defeating the Germans in the east, but only after four years of fighting them. Kudos to them for their fight at Stalingrad.

But, the Soviets must share blame with Nazi Germany for beginning WWII in the first place, on September 1, 1939, as it was allied with the Nazis in the invasion of Poland and the Baltics.

“Even though the territory was already destroyed and occupied by the Nazis, the Soviets still deserved the credit so they built that empire.”

An empire of slave states and subjected peoples. Some portfolio.

The Russian state church is just another tool of the state and the churches being built are not Christian churches, but only Russian Orthodox churches.

What kind of legitimate government tortures protestors by smashing them in the face and stripping them naked in the snow on live TV?

USSR communists ranted against western decadence all the time, even while the KGB subverted and promoted it.

Archbishop Kirill was on the board of the world council of churches, an organization that spread heretical liberation theology worldwide. Today he blesses nuclear missiles and condemns the morals of the west.

The key to understanding Russians is that it’s a trash country dominated by prison culture and filled with degenerates with low self esteem.

Russia, who denies that Ukraine is a sovereign country, reinstates Lenin’s statue in Melitopol - the same Lenin, whom Russia blames for the Ukranian statehood (Brest-Litovsk Peace Treaty 1918). Their logic is amazing..

Moscow’s occupying authorities in the southern Ukrainian city of Melitopol said Saturday they had brought back a statue of Lenin, seven years after it was taken down following Kyiv’s pro-EU revolution. The Moscow-installed head of the Zaporizhzhia region, Vladimir Rogov, posted a photograph of workers in the city reinstating the tribute to the Bolshevik leader. "After seven years the statue of Vladimir Lenin has returned to its place in Melitopol,” he said, adding that city authorities had taken it down in 2015.

Something else for you all to celebrate!

If he was okay with the Kremlin, North Korea, Iran/Ayatollah, a speech claiming the West started the slave trade and all of the countless atrocities therein that have occurred over the course of this war Putin started, why would placing the statue of a mass murdering communist dictator back in a place of honor bother him?

The Ukrainian government openly employs their Nazis to stick it to the Russians...and so the Russians hit back with Lenin. But it could have been worse for the Ukrainians, they could have put Stalin there.
