Climate activist Greta Thunberg has said she will not pursue a career in politics - because it is too "toxic".
The Swedish teenager became a household name in 2018, after she skipped school and inspired an international movement to fight climate change.
Now 19, she says the necessary changes "will only come if there's enough public pressure from the outside - and that is something that we create".
And she never intended to become the face of a global movement.
"It's too much responsibility," Ms Thunberg said. "Sometimes I can snap. I say, 'If you think that all the hope in the world rests on burned-out teenagers' shoulders, I mean, that's not very good.'''

Yes. Now if only she’ll keep her mouth shut, and try to live a normal life.
In a way, I feel sorry for Thunberg. Someone is manipulating her, and feeding her only one side of the energy story. It would be like telling a child over and over again that the Earth is flat. Look out the window. You can see it for yourself!
So the child goes around preaching that the Earth is flat. But eventually the truth will sink in. That will be a very unpleasant and uncomfortable moment for the child.

I have felt a degree of what you said about her. Just because she may have wanted to be exploited for the fame and because she was brainwashed with climate change, doesn’t mean her parents should have let her be exploited, or the media should have run with her as the star.
As ridiculous as she is, you feel some sympathy because she can never be that normal child she should have been.
People do grow up and wise up. I decline to give up on her just yet.
I’d prefer Greta just stay out of the U.S. period!

Id she truly believed in her nonsense, she would be taking every opportunity to get the power to achieve that goal. It’s not like she wouldn’t have the financial backing to do so. What is missing is a spine - kind of like the GOP.
