U.S. President Joe Biden warned that global hunger could increase because of Russia’s suspension of a U.N.-brokered deal to allow safe passage for ships carrying Ukrainian grain.
“It’s really outrageous,” said Biden speaking in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday. “There’s no merit to what they’re doing. The U.N. negotiated that deal and that should be the end of it.”
Biden spoke hours after Russia announced it would immediately halt participation in the agreement, alleging that Ukraine staged a drone attack Saturday against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet ships off the coast of occupied Crimea. Ukraine has denied the attack.

The Russian army has lost so many troops it became necessary to institute a vast draft for replacements. It is widely reported from first hand sources that on being conscripted, the new soldier was given a list of essential stuff to bring. That list included items that should be provided by the army, The Russian army lacks the very basic essentials to outfit the new conscripts. Russia presently lacks the resources and the industrial ability to provide for it’s own defense.
Further evidence exists in the Russian hat in hand visit to Iran to obtain drones. The drones were needed for the retributive attack on civilians and civilian targets in Ukraine in response for the destruction of the Non civilian targeting of the bridge to Crimea. Russia lacks the industrial capability to provide it’s own weapons any more.
Since the Iranian drones were used to premeditatedly kill Ukranian women and children and to destroy their homes and schools and churches and hospitals, Putin committed actions of war criminal activity on a grand scale. If not war criminals before, there is no question that Putin and his henchmen are now war criminals beyond any faint shadow of doubt.
Since Iran provided the weapons used to commit war crimes, Iran is guilty of aiding and abetting. The Iranian mullahs are guilty of complicity in the war criminal actions in Ukraine.
That brings us here, to Free Republic. By condoning the Russian actions in Ukraine that killed women and children and destroyed their livelihood, you and others here are guilty of aiding and abetting the Russian war crimes. Promoting Putin’s war crimes is the same as the Iranian provision of drones to kill civilians.
Reports have it that ships loaded with LNG are just sitting off the coast of Spain, waiting for winter prices to go up before delivery to the EU

There’s not enough ships in the entire world to supply Europe with LNG.
Shipments to Europe also limit increases in international prices. Which is the real problem for the likes of Egypt.
There are. Enough to replace Russian nat gas from Nordstream for this winter.
There are also other mitigations in play.
The main question is whether other countries can build out LNG facilities fast enough to meet 2023-24 LNG demands. This is why the LNG business is hot and heavy. We will see a glut in summer 2023 I predict.

While condemning the similar acts by American and especially Israeli air forces as war crimes even if a civilian woman is inadvertently killed in a structure adjacent to the actual military target, it is more than ok, even applauded, when the genocidal Russians commit the heinous war crimes
