America First Republicans Question Ukraine Military Aid Package

Lawmakers for both parties are looking to seize the opportunity for Ukrainian military aid before newly elected members are sworn in.

This week House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, who is likely to take over as speaker if the GOP wins a majority in the House in the midterms, warned Republicans are "not going to write a blank check to Ukraine."

Last month, Congress approved $12 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine. Congress already has allocated a total of $65 billion in aid since Russia's attack in February. Sources believe the next package will be dramatically larger. A Republican senator told NBC News, "It'll make the $12 billion look like pocket change."

The package would likely be part of an omnibus spending bill within the range of $50 billion, according to congressional aides.

America First Republicans argue that such aid is not the top priority and that Americans are already dealing with many domestic problems. They also say Ukraine's fate is not directly tied to the U.S., and its European allies should be stepping up.

"You need to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others," said Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., to NBC News. "I just don't think as a legislator that I could, in good conscience, support billions and billions of funding going overseas when we have such dire needs here."

Republicans are split over the Ukraine issue. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Tenn., a member of the Appropriations Committee that controls spending, said it is absolutely necessary to provide weapons and other aid to prevent Russia's advancement.

Former Vice President Mike Pence referred to those against the aid as Russian "apologists" in an event with The Heritage Foundation on Wednesday.

He said, "There can be no room in the conservative movement for apologists to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin." The former vice president is in company with others such as Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

We have carried the majority of the load. Let Europe do some heavy lifting.

I believe fiscal Conservatives have a beef on the issue of
how much aide we are giving. There’s also a legitimate beef
with the amount of weapons we are giving.

I still believe the Ukraine wasn’t the end of Russia’s
desires for new expansion.

If it wasn’t, folks will have to come to terms with that
also.

Pence is an airhead. I don’t see how he thinks he has
a snowball’s chance in hell of being the 2014 nominee.

Is it is belief that Trump will be disqualified, therefore
leaving him a clear shot, because I don’t even see that
making it possible for him to gain traction.

At that point I believe DeSantis would feel compelled
to jump in, and that would leave Pence with nearly no
support at all.

I do believe he could beat Harris, and get two or three
possible delegates.

Ugggh. Screw this guy. Bankrupting the US doesn’t even enter his mind, and I am not just talking about Ukraine.

Pence, the alleged Christian, sold his soul to the uniparty establishment and globalists years ago.

And, the BS you just wrote is completely contradicted by the fact Russia came to us in December seeking to prevent this war.

All Russia wanted was a guarantee that Ukraine remain neutral and not join NATO and for the Minsk Agreement, which Ukraine signed and would have given Donetsk and Lugansk state-like autonomy.

You've been told that yet keep repeating the Biden/globalist/neocon narrative over and over again. You're either a liar or slow learner.

It's the hatred of Russia that has pushed them into an alliance with China and us closer to a hot war with it, nuclear war and WWIII that is national security.

It’s common knowledge that the Ukraine government is nothing more than an organized criminal operation that launders money for the DC criminals, the Biden crime family and its affiliates.

Did Russia remain true to the agreement they signed
recognizing the Ukraine’s borders, when the Ukraine
agreed to give up their nuclear weapons?

Get back to me when you have a clue.

Two questions.

Is it primarily hatred toward Russia, or desire for one world government?

The second question is do the globalists want war?

“Republicans are split over the Ukraine issue.”

It’s the same split we’ve seen for six years between the Bushite neocon wing, which had sailed us down the river since Reagan, and the MAGA adherents. It’s the same philosophical divide on the Ukraine quagmire.

Did NATO remain true to the agreement between James Baker and Gorbachev in 1991? The NATO promise of “ not one inch east after the reunification of Germany”?

Somewhere we have contacts in the Russian inner circle. For a few hundred million dollars we could probably get Putin’s head in a box. Instead we send billions to Ukraine where probably 80-90% gets siphoned off criminally.

Gee I don’t know.

Has Russia stuck to every agreement they’ve made?

We had missile agreements they cheated on to the point we
had to abandon the agreements ourselves or be lost in the
dust.

Has Russia honored all borders it had in that time frame?

People like Sweden and Finland don’t ask to join because
they fell so loved by Russia.

Hah! Has the US? How about the 20 year murderous neocon rampage through the Middle East in hunt of Saddam’s yellow cake? That neocon CF mutilated and killed tens of thousands of American boys along with a million mostly innocent Arabs? How about your big guy’s unprovoked multi billion dollar proxy war against Russia? Not counting when you’re under the influence of smoking Hillary’s Russia, Russia, Russia stash did Russia attack NATO or the US? Where in the NATO Charter is any of this sanctioned? What treaty obligation requires our war on Russia? There is none. Don’t give me your usual pi$$ poor, corrupt world policeman rigamarole either. Your innate warmongering neoconism makes you the perfect stooge for your DC globalist masters.

Even your attempt to insult is rather lame and unintentionally
humorous.

Did Hussein use chemical weapons on his Kurdish population?
Yes. So he did have WMDs. When the U. S. went in the
second time, there were none there. Is it your take he just
destroyed it all?

He obviously moved it out of the country, and when chemical
weapons were used in Syria, you thought it just miraculously
appeared there out of the blue? Really?

A large stash of Chemical weapons was found between
Baghdad and Syria during the war also. It wasn’t the
nukes some had thought he was working on, but it was none
the less an WMD stash.

Murderous neocon... yada yada yada, is that all you have
is childish names?

Hussien was guilty of over 500,000 dead people due to his
attack of Iran. He also took over Kuwait, and struck out
at Saudi Arabia and Israel.

We defeated him once and put sanctions on him to stop him
from attacking other nations. He violated those sanctions
and eventually we took him out.

He attacked four nations, was responsible for over half
a million dead, and since he has been gone, Iraq hasn’t
attacked one nation or killed any foreign nationals in
a conflict, other than ISIS.

As for your continued ramblings, I laugh at you.

What were we doing in the Middle East in 2016? After Saddsm’s gas or uranium? Did he hide it in Afghanistan? Remember, the Saudis are responsible for 9/11 not Afghans. Lousy, God awful corrupt world policeman. Say go to hell to your big guy for me.

Oh yeah, so we are playing nuclear brinksmanship, spending $500 M a day on your big guy’s Uke quagmire because Saddam had non conventional weapons? Again, put down the Hillary Russia, Russia, Russia bong and tell me strait out WHEN DID RUSSIA ATTACK THE US? Simple question that is not answered by equivocations about our past corrupt world policeman FUs.
