Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has opened a yawning lead over his Democratic rival with just three weeks to go before the Florida gubernatorial election, according to a new poll.

DeSantis, who is seeking a second term, held an 11 point lead over Charlie Crist, the poll from Florida Atlantic University’s Business and Economics Polling Initiative found.

...

Florida Senator Marco Rubio held a smaller but still comfortable advantage over his Democratic rival Rep. Val Demings, leading her 48% to 42%, the poll found. The incumbent enjoyed a 53% approval rating, while 63% of respondents said they approved of DeSantis’ handling of the deadly Hurricane Ian.

Crist, a former GOP governor, is now seeking election as a Democrat.

“The governor’s hurricane response received strong approval among Floridians, who most likely favor him in the upcoming gubernatorial race,” said Monica Escaleras, Ph.D., director of FAU BEPI in a news release Friday.

The biggest concern among Floridians was inflation, with 36% saying it was their top issue, while another 19% cited threats to democracy as their biggest concern. Just 9% of those polled said abortion access was their most pressing issue, according to the poll.

Compare Florida’s efficient response to what happened in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina. Everything that went wrong in New Orleans was President Bush’s fault - the media gave the local officials there compete cover for their incompetence and corruption. Bush didn’t immediately visit there because he didn’t want to add a burden to the recovery effort and the media said he was “heartless” and “racist.” I remember that mess well.

There are a bunch of Democrat candidates that are about to go into permanent retirement from public life.

1. Beto O’Rourke.
2. John Fetterman.
3. Charlie Crist.
4. Stacy Abrams.

And that’s just off-the-top...

Charlie Crist is a zombie. You think he’s dead, and then he pops back up again, even worse than the last time he surfaced.

63% of respondents said they approved of DeSantis’ handling of the deadly Hurricane Ian.

So, numerous MSM sources report Crist is attacking DeSantis on this very issue.

Please nobody tell Charlie that no only is he wasting his time here, he's peeing into the wind.

No, not really. Even Crist. This former so-called ‘republican’ homosexual is just cruising through a DNC funded campaign and probably scamming it for all the money he can take out of it for himself, IMO. He never had a snowball’s chance in hell.

Ron DeSantis will win by 20 points or more. Charlie and “Chief” Val Demings will pull down what is left of the rodent structure in Florida.
When DeSantis won there were 240k more registered rodents in Florida than Republicans.
Today with the addition of another 50K Republicans in just the last six months, there are now 300k more Republicans than Democrat/communists in the Sunshine State.
Down here in South Florida the rodents are so hard up for candidates they are running an open Hispanic lesbian and and member of the Florida branch of the Socialist movement for Congress.

But I thought Florida's Hispanic population was outraged by Martha's Vineyard?

Buoyed by Latinos, DeSantis could become the first Republican candidate for governor to win Miami-Dade in 20 years (NBC News)

You’re right - good memory.

DeSantis had bridge traffic fixed between Sanibel and the mainland and Pine Island and the mainland within days. The MSM was predicting both bridges would take months to fix - it took DeSantis ‘days’... not months. Florida is both free AND safe under DeSantis.
