Her internals must be awful. I'm going to call it right now. This is going to be a Phil Murphy situation. She wins by a hair and has no mandate or Dixon wins by a point or two.

Northern states are more gutted economically with inflation and crime hurting more.

Whitmer is up against the second string candidate since the Democrats were able to throw other Republicans off the primary ballot on signature issues.

If Whitmer loses it show what a loser she is.

If I were advising Dixon - I would run ads pointing out how often Whitmer erred on the side of curtailing liberty and exceeded her Constitutional authority during Covid. Then you point out that the first thing she did as Governor was to swear to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of Michigan, and then she proceeded to violate it.

” throw other Republicans off the primary ballot on signature issues “

Funny how that never happens to them.

Dims are brain dead. Whitmer is terrible but they will still vote for her over a Republican.

Hitler could run against Trump and most would vote for Hitler.

I can see the headlines now .... “Republicans pounce...” ha ha.

But I def. agree. Parents are going to go into a rage over this and Republicans need to make the distinction crystal clear between Repubs and Dems. This might bring a lot of black parents over to the Republican party.

Whitmer walks away with it.
61% of Michigan residents are fully vaccinated. So that is in her favor.
Majority of folks will never support a complete ban on abortion. Dixon has made her stance clear.
COVID is in the rear view mirror. If you want a job in Michigan you can find one. Nobody cares about her husband taking out his boat.
Maybe Dixon, or any other politician could run on a platform that affects peoples lives.
1)Decades long power outages (DTE).
2) Flood management
3) Energy independence
4) passing a law making parents responsible for their murdering kids when they have easy access to guns in the home.
Fell free to add to list, but don't fool yourself that Dixon has a chance.
James on the other hand. He has my vote.

Unfortunately you are correct, Whitmer will win. Dixon's no exceptions on abortion was/is a losing stance on Michigan and those ads run 24/7.

James Craig was the only one who could have beat Whitmer.

43 Governors issued stay at home orders during Covid. Most people went along with it. You can argue whether it was a correct response, but that ship has sailed.
Most folks including myself are happy it's past. They may have a little more push back if they try it again. Who can say.
I haven't lived full time in Michigan in over 7 years, but when I visit every couple months nobody complains about Whitmer. Biden, and Trump. Oh yea.😉
