Oooo...I will do that! When I was watching it was just boring...nothing much happening.
You’re welcome!
What we, and the fella across the road, grow doesn’t go directly to the table. It goes for livestock feed so there’ll be plenty of meat on the tables.
Fertilizer and fuel prices suck, no doubt. Crummy weather doesn’t help either and it was a very dry summer. Still had crops but the yield was down from what it could have been with more rain. *sigh*
Better luck next year is what we hope for.
Oh Magoo!
Ya have to run the cursor along the red line and watch the thumbnails to see what kind of action has gone on. LOL It’s been pretty slow lately because a lot of the small planes haven’t been able to use the lake due to it being so windy lately. The cam was on auto most of the day but I spotted where the military planes were on screen and found the moment that “show” started. Went on for several minutes. I’m watching it again right now. LOL
Just watched the action. Very cool display of military planes. Glad you told me about them.
Sometimes I do run it back, but I love watching it live.
“Better luck next year is what we hope for.”
The wish of all farmers!
My gr-gr-grandparents homesteaded on the Saskatchewan Prairie when farming was all manual and animal work. Their son got into the grain business in Alberta then went into fruit orchards in Creston, British Columbian. His kids were in the fruit business a while, but several of them migrated into the lumber business in Idaho. Others farmed in central Idaho. It comes and goes in different generations.
It WAS a cool display, wasn’t it? We usually only see one, maybe two, in the air at a time. It’s really fun when the F-22s are zipping around and a cam op is on duty.
Unless you have the stream open in one Window while doing other things in another, you aren’t going to catch a whole lot of action ‘live’. I miss a lot and that’s why I always look back to see what happened. I’d checked in on the cam when I got up today but that was before it happened. I didn’t check back until late this afternoon and the “show” was already over by then.
I catch things ‘live’ sometimes but a lot is after the fact. At least we’re able to go back 12 hours to see it. Some streams don’t have rewind.
I have “picture in picture” if I want to continue watching something live while doing something else. I just don’t have time to spend on one stream when I have many others to also view.
Also...I like full screen. The only time I use 2 windows at the same time is when I’m posting tunes.
One of Hubby’s aunt’s favorite sayings was. “You have to be a gambler to be a farmer.” That is so true. You enjoy the bumper years and hope for better luck on the off years.
Like with your family, things have changed over they years on this farm. Hubby’s great-grandfather bought the place in 1865 and it was farmed with horses and sometimes cattle pulling the plows. They raised livestock for their own food and sold some of it. Hubby’s grandfather planted apple and pear orchards for a while and a couple of the pear trees are still alive today. The fruit isn’t worth a flip for us to eat but the deer and other wildlife love them - especially after they’ve been on the ground a little while and have fermented. LOL
Nowadays, we just have field corn and soybeans and another young farmer does the work. He did plant cotton two years in a row and that was the pits. We were thrilled to have gorgeous corn again this year.
You’re like Hubby, liking full screen. I just can’t do it. My Windows are sized so I can see what’s happening on three at once.
It helps that I don’t watch TV shows online. LOL There’s a TV on the wall over the desk for easy viewing. Watching Nosferatu at the moment.
I guess it’s all in what we’re used to. I use laptops, so my full-screen is probably smaller than yours.
Of course, I watch my iPad at the same time sometimes....such as STILL watching the re-play of that trial. It lasted nearly 9 hours. I am hooked on live trials right now for some odd reason.
My screen is only 17”. It’s a fairly old monitor, as is my computer, and it couldn’t be any larger than that and fit in the desk. It’s a rolltop desk - - gotta keep the cats out when I’m not using the computer! They’ll knock all the stuff off the desk otherwise.
So it probably isn’t much larger than your laptop’s screen, if larger at all.
Can’t say I’ve ever watched a televised trial. Never was one I was interested in. If we were all alike, what a boring world it would be. LOL
I also got 7 out of 10 on that quiz too.
Yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
It looks like Gizmo thoroughly enjoyed your outing yesterday. That’s a very happy face on the pooch. :-)
10:10
Did not expect that.
I figured you’d have a big ol’ monitor to watch those great live cams on. LOL! I think my biggest laptop screen is a 2011 13” one. Large enough for me. I have a smaller one I use for travel because it’s very light weight.
I’ve never owned a desktop. I learned on laptops at work so I was never comfy with all the various components of the bigger ones. That’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ with it. LOL!
I guess I’ll finish this show and hit the pillows. I was rudely awakened this morning by hubby barging in with a plumber tagging along behind. I threw the covers up over my head, but I was too mad to go back to sleep. Geez! Peaches was upset, too. He never even told me one was coming. Men!
I got 6 out of 10.
Lost 2 or 3 due to the similarity of hats from other shows. You know, like Gomer and Goober? Clampett and Festus?
Have a blessed day, y'all
I take off my hat to you.
