“Our economy is strong as hell,” President Joe Biden declared in an impromptu remark on Saturday – but, a new national survey shows that nearly nine of ten U.S. voters say they think the country is currently in a recession.
“Our economy is strong as hell -- the internals of it," Biden said, while eating ice cream and speaking with reporters. "Inflation is worldwide. It’s worse off everywhere else than it is in the United States. So the problem is the lack of economic growth and sound policy in other countries, not so much ours.”
However, 89% of voters say the U.S. is either “very likely” (43%) or “somewhat likely” (46%) currently in a recession, according to a new national opinion survey, conducted October 4-11, 2022 for The Federalist by Susquehanna Polling and Research, Inc.
That includes 84% of voters who approve of Biden’s job performance, 84% of those who have a favorable opinion of him, and 82% of self-identified Democrats, who all think the U.S. is in a recession.
What’s more, voters largely say the U.S. economy has deteriorated over the last half-year.
Fully, 65% of voters say the economy is worse than it was six months earlier – more than seven times the 9% who say it’s improved. Another 20% say it’s “about the same” and 6% aren’t sure. Five times as many self-identified Independent voters say things have gotten worse, not better (60%-12%).
Even half (49%) of self-identified Democrats agree that the economy’s worse, more than four times the 11% who think it’s better.

My 20 year old kid told us just last night that all of her peers are incredibly pissed and will be voting red this go around. These are NOT young adults who are overly interested in politics, just trying to live day to day. But….they know how good it was just two years ago. Now, they’re moving back in with family because rents are out of reach, have no disposable income for a night out or pay the exorbitant gas prices to go anywhere other than work or school without assistance. I highly doubt it will be the last election cycle where they vote straight red. Dem insanity has done a great job in creating young new Republicans!!

Obvious Biden has no grasp of reality. He is beyond incompetent and reveals as much every time he speaks on any subject. Biden needs to be shut up in the basement with Harris and Pelosi, and the rest of the administration so we can climb out of this dark hole they have put us in and are still digging that hole deeper!
