In the event of a nuclear strike, President Joe Biden could be rushed to a little-known complex inside a mountain near Blue Ridge Summit, which sits along the Pennsylvania-Maryland state line, according to Newsweek.
The Raven Rock Mountain Complex, which is near Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, "is this massive, hollowed-out mountain. It's a free-standing city ... with individual buildings, three-story buildings, built inside of this mountain,” journalist Garrett Graff, the author of the 2017 book Raven Rock: The Story of the U.S. Government's Secret Plan to Save Itself — While the Rest of Us Die, told NPR in 2017. “It has everything that a small city would — there's a fire department there, there's a police department, medical facilities, dining halls."
The bunker dates back to the 1940s and wasn’t completed until the 1950s, all under the backdrop of the Cold War. “Site R,” as it’s nicknamed, was designed to ensure the continuity of government in the event of a nuclear attack.

Military installations will be on the first strike list. There will be precious few troops left to do anything but navel gaze. A sub launch nuke on DC and most of our .gov disappears in the flash. Very few will make it to any bunker. They think their bunker is blast proof. How many direct hits can it withstand before it all collapses in on them? 2? 10? 20? .gov survivor stories will be few and far between. A word of warning to any that might survive, resist the urge to claim that you are now in charge, another survivor might just shoot you in the face.
Everyone knows about the facility including Russia.
It was on History Channel about 15 years ago.
When I was an ROTC cadet at Gettysburg College in the late 80s much of our support came from Ft. Ritchie, MD. Site R was one of the worst kept secrets even back then in the midst of the cold war. The huge antenna array sticking out of the mountain top was pretty obvious. Likewise, in the winter, when most of the mountainside was covered by snow, there were some patches where snow wouldn’t accumulate, kind of like a heated driveway.
The Greenbrier was featured on “Mysteries of the Abandoned”. Very interesting episode. My parents used to go vacation there back in the day. I personally have never been there but they said it was beautiful there. I don’t think they knew about the bunker. If they did, they never said anything.
Precisely! The mountain becomes their prison, a closed ecosystem, as we initiate study after study on the effects of long-term political clap trap on each other.
Hopefully if this comes to pass the outside survivors will kill everyone who reappears from the bunker. Slowly. Same for the bunkers in Wyoming.
Absolutely agree
“ So if there is a Russian nuclear strike on the Capitol will Democrats then stop talking about Jan 6th ”
No.
“Book about it out for five years. Not exactly top secret.”
I’ve had it on Google Earth for years.
They have escape tunnels.
Waiting to be a safe haven for all the wrong people - those that create the problem in the first place.
Yesterday the OSINT channels observed 6 x MiG31 with Kinzhal missiles (conventional, thermobaric or nuke), Iskander-M missiles (nuke delivery) positioned for use.
These are the last people who should be saved.
A pity, that... LOL!
So demented war-mongering grifter Brandon causes a nuclear war, and HE gets sheltered in a safe space while the rest of us burn?
There are NUMEROUS locations I know of, on the eastern seaboard, that fit the description of this place...I’ve seen a couple. The range from the “sixth sub basement of new government installations”, to reporposed salt mines. They are self contained, self sufficient, subterrainian, and generally VERY posh. I’ll assume there are many more that I’ve never seen nor heard of.
The tricky part is getting to the bunkers in time.
Most “leaders” would be dead in a nuclear attack long before they got there.
Hi loser.
