We visited a local PCUSA church this morning (in Charlotte NC) and the preacherette was moaning about 15 year olds getting ahold of an assault weapon and killing people...referring to the Raleigh shooting. Since we were visitors, I refrained from pointing out her error as we walked by her leaving the church (she was on the front door saying goodbye to folks).
“Why did a 15-year-old have access to stuff like that?” she said of the suspect’s weapon.
NBC solemnly ends the article with Joe Biden calling for an "assault weapon" ban.
Of course, those toads never once mention that the gun was not an "assault weapon", or even a rifle.
NBC can exploit people's grief, but they can't let truth spoil the narrative.

WILL NOT COMPLY with any more Federal gun bans. They are ALL unconstitutional. Especially in light of Bruen, in which SCOTUS said, essentially, that restraints on the right to keep and bear arms originating after the Founding era are unconstitutional.
That’s the Democrats’ go-to response whenever there’s a shooting. Been doing it for decades.
Truth is an assault weapon and it seems to have been banned, why not everything else.
