Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee on Tuesday urged his fellow GOP home state senator, Mitt Romney, to endorse his reelection campaign, asking him to "please get on board" as the two-term lawmaker finds himself in a competitive race against independent candidate Evan McMullin.
During an appearance on the Fox News program "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Lee emphasized the importance of his race in helping Republicans regain a majority, something that he asked Romney — the party's 2012 presidential nominee — to take into account.
Carlson asked Lee if he could just call Romney on the phone and explain that there was "at lot at stake" with regard to the race.
"Well, I've asked him," Lee responded. "I'm asking him right here, again, tonight, right now. Mitt, if you'd like to protect the Republican majority, give us any chance of seizing the Republican majority, once again, getting it away from the Democrats, who are facilitating this massive spending spree in a massive inflationary binge, please get on board."

In 2010 Mike Lee defeated McConnell minion Bob Bennett.
That's just not done, and MUST be punished. McConnell couldn't enact reprisal in 2016 so he's doing it now, through insidious Mitt Romney, who, just like dear old dad George Romney, is refusing to endorse his Republican colleague.
In 2010, another Republican senator was defeated in a primary, Lisa Murkowski, but McConnell and Cornyn got her successfully reeelected.
And a third Republican, Arlen Specter, would also have been defeated in a primary, but instead became a Democrat and was defeated in the Democrat primary. So McConnell didn't have to take out any revenge on Pat Toomey for trying to take out Specter (McConnell successfully thwarted Toomey taking out Specter in 2004). And Toomey dutifully got on board with the RINO agendas anyway with gun control, etc. so no need for any reprisals.
McConnell is a VERY vindictive man, and Mike Lee has been a conservative thorn here and there, so while McConnell will go ALL OUT to protect and reelect Lisa Murkowski, he is pulling levers behind the scenes (using Mitt Romney) to LOSE a safe Republican Senate seat.
All because Mike Lee DARED to take out an incumbent Republican Senator years ago.
Mormons
I detest Sen. Mike Lee for wanting to import the world and not caring about spending. But, man does Romney and this group love McMullin. They’ve been pushing that cia dude for years. Weird.
Yep. They will stab you in the back every time. I’ve had several dealings with Mormons starting in Jr high. None of them were good.
mittens and mitch should get a room …..
I’m glad I voted voted for Romney. Or McCain. Or either Bush.
Geez Louise, this Egg McMuffin dude could win that Senate election?
Is Mike Lee actually worried he’s going to lose?
“Is Mike Lee actually worried he’s going to lose?”
I think he is. I don’t think he will.
Some friends of my wife recently ran into Mittens while hiking in Utah. Mittens posed for a picture with them. Made me want to puke steel balls. The only pic I would have allowed was me pounding his traitorous punk-ass head in the ground. He is in my top 10 most hated national politicians
These leftist RINOs suck. A long time ago a politician observed that the only thing commonly found in the middle of the road are yellow stripes and dead skunks.
Looking to the future, Tulsi will fail in cozying up to Trump for a VP spot. She will then join Mitt on a National Union ticket ala 1864 with Lincoln-Johnson.
If that ticket takes votes away from Trump, the Turtle will be happy.
Any possibility that Utah could “recall” Romney?
“Any possibility that Utah could “recall” Romney?”
Recalls are not possible for federal officials.
I wonder if Utah realizes they are being Massachussetized?
Waste of time. Begging Mitt to do what is obviously right and good for conservatives will only cause him to dig in his heels and giggle with RINO glee.
Romney is a POS
McConnell is a POS
Things equal to same thing are equal to each other.
Why would Willard back a Republican? POS!
Romney is the new McStain.
