WASHINGTON — Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii announced Tuesday that she's leaving the Democratic Party because it's "now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness."
In a video statement posted on social media, Gabbard, 41, accused Democrats of dividing the country "by racializing every issue, stoking anti-white racism" and "actively working to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution."
"The Democrats of today are hostile to people of faith and spirituality," she continued. "They demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans. The Democrats of today believe in open borders and weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents. Above all else, the Democrats of today are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war."
I agree with that. I hope she continues her journey into
the midst of Conservatism.
I like her. I’m just hoping for good things from her.
What she forgot to say is she is joining the communist party.

Just a scant 10-12 years ago, she was the type they were looking for; vets who were liberal leaning and anti=war (or as we learned, just anti Republican war). Now she cant even stay in her own party.
There are. Scattered around, not well organized ,certainly not welled. For many years .After WW2 the NeiseiJapanrse American soldiers returned from Europe as certified heroes.In the years following they came into Hawaii Demo ratsand dominated gated it , as Democrats . During the ‘70s & the ‘80s vast numbers of east & Left coast Liberals invaded, settled in and have pretty much taken over and now dominate the formally’local’Democrat ‘ old boy’ network.The Demsherestill run the token,figurehead Japs ( and Filipinos) but behind the scene it is D.C. money, power, and influence that call the shots ( Schatz)....
This is the case of my DW, a former Dem, now a GOPer, but in baby steps over several decades.
(And she still gets nervous about 2A and a few other things. Works in progress.).
My point is that we should wish Tulsi well, and encourage her to consider the GOP at some point.
Remember, Ronald Regan was a Dem at one time in his younger years.
