‘RINO’ GOP mayor leaves town during Trump rally to stump for Democrat challenger in Arizona

Former President Donald Trump held a rally in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday, but the Republican mayor of that city wasn’t there.

He was not out of town – this was no ordinary snub. He was in Paradise Valley, which is about 10 miles northwest of Mesa, just on the other side of Scottsdale. And he was campaigning.

A high-profile GOP event featuring the party’s titular head could not find a place on the calendar of GOP Mayor John Giles. He was at an event that he found more pressing.

“There is a rally in Mesa, Arizona, today, featuring some well-known out-of-town guests. I am not there. I am here. … I am here campaigning for Katie Hobbs,” intoned Mayor Giles with pretend virtue.

Katie Hobbs is the Democrat candidate for the governor of Arizona.

While Trump rallied in Mesa for the GOP candidate in the race, Kari Lake, whose platform is solidly in the Republican mainstream, the mayor of Arizona’s third-largest city was campaigning against her across town. With friends like that, who needs enemies? Giles must be deliberately trying to suppress GOP voter turnout.

When Hobbs loses, and she will, this guy is finished in politics. But he is probably a lawyer so he will find another racket.

Are we still to believe that Democrats don’t infiltrate the Republican party? That the term “RINO” is just another variant for moderate Republican?

Democrats infiltrate the Republican party and they help elect other RINO candidates. They prevent actual conservatives from being elected. Look what Mitch McConnell is doing in Alaska with Lisa Murkowski and Kelly Tshibaka. Look what Kevin McCarthy tried to do in Washington state with Jaime Herrera-Beutler and Joe Kent.

People that insist that the worst RINO is better than the best Democrat are delusional.

“Kari Lake, whose platform is solidly in the Republican mainstream”

The sad part is, I am not too sure the Republican mainstream is with Kari Lake and her MAGA-America platform. I suspect that maybe as many as 50% of the “Mainstream” Republican party prefer the Democrats controlling not only Washington but Arizona as well.

The Mayor is a Dem using RNC money to get elected. He should pay back the RNC funds used to get elected. He committed fraud.

What’s worse? Republican Mayor endorses Democrat or a former Deputy Mayor endorses Dr. Oz.
