Retired Admiral Mike Mullen is advising the Biden administration to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine as World War 3 becomes a real possibility.
Mullen, who was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, is saying that Biden should back off on the reckless talk and get to working on diplomacy.

If you want to drool over your man-crush Putin, do it elsewhere.
Get all US representation out of Ukraine then you’ll see the EU and Russia handle this mess.
Not to mention destruction in their cities and infrastructure.....unfortunately Zelensky would see people and his country destroyed ....otherwise he would have negotiated long before things errupted....he refused.
Get all US representation out of Ukraine then you’ll see the EU and Russia handle this mess.
So now we’re rooting for a modern day Ribbentop-Molotov? How pathetic.
Not rooting for anyone in that conflict. But I see a lot of O’Biden admin unwilling to give up there money laundering escapades with Ukrainian leadership and oligarchs.......they want to own Ukraine’s governance and everyone knows this.
ditto
“What a mess this Ukraine thing is. Never would have happened if Trump were still in the White House.”
I see this comment a lot, but I doubt it. Trump’s troubles with the Deep State began in spades when he tipped over the Ukrainian rock and all the little creeping things got exposed to the light. All those disgusting slithering slimy things are why nearly every Western politician and bureaucrat are willing to take us all to WWIII to keep hidden.
That’s a fair point. But it’s worth noting that Putin caused trouble during the presidencies of Bush II, Obama, and Biden. But he behaved while Trump was president. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
I've been watching and waiting to see what the next shiny thing will be.
Ukraine will win. They won’t quit until they do.
The win column in the neowars is fairly empty while the lose column is rather full. What is that you were saying about right and wrong?
“The win column in the neowars is fairly empty while the lose column is rather full.”
That retort might actually have some bite if you were arguing with actual neocons, but you aren’t. You’re fighting imaginary neocons who inhabit your fantasies.
I didn't call you a neocon, neocon. I said the neowars...and you got a case of the sads. Sorry bro.
“The win column in the neowars is fairly empty while the lose column is rather full.”
“I didn’t call you a neocon, neocon.”
Way to prove my point. You’re tilting at windmills.
I hear all this talk about”offramps” all the time these days. Who ever said Putin is even looking for an “offramp?”
Did Putin cause trouble, or react to continued NATO expansion?
> Did Putin cause trouble, or react to continued NATO expansion? <
I’d say both. I was quite sympathetic to Putin’s concerns before the invasion. A search of my previous posts will show that.
But he completely over-reacted here. He crossed a sovereign border, and he is now killing innocents. He fired the first shot across a border. That’s why I consider him to be a war criminal.
I understand good people can differ on this, and I respect that. That’s why I don’t call posters any names when discussing this topic. I just wish more Freepers would refrain from unhelpful practice that as well.
Yes, l should been more clear. Ukraine is a huge money laundering op for the rats
