One of the more unsettling discoveries in the past half century is that the universe is not locally real. “Real,” meaning that objects have definite properties independent of observation—an apple can be red even when no one is looking; “local” means objects can only be influenced by their surroundings, and any influence cannot travel faster than light. Investigation shows objects are not influenced solely by surroundings and may also lack definite properties prior2 measurement
...pairs of particles are sent off in different directions from a common source, targeted for two observers, Alice and Bob, each stationed at opposite ends of the solar system. Quantum mechanics dictates that it is impossible to know the spin, a quantum property of individual particles prior to measurement. When Alice measures one of her particles, she finds its spin to be either up or down. Her results are random, and yet, when she measures up, she instantly knows Bob’s corresponding particle must be down. .
...But under quantum mechanics, particles are not like socks, and only when measured do they settle on a spin of up or down. This is EPR’s key conundrum: If Alice’s particles lack a spin until measurement, how then when they whiz past Neptune do they know what Bob’s particles will do as they fly out of the solar system in the other direction? Each time Alice measures, she effectively quizzes her particle on what Bob will get if he flips a coin: up, or down? The odds of correctly predicting this even 200 times in a row are 1 in 1060—a number greater than all the atoms in the solar system. Yet despite the billions of kilometers that separate the particle pairs, quantum mechanics says Alice’s particles can keep correctly predicting, as though they were telepathically connected to Bob’s particles.

Makes good fiction but I don’t really believe it.
But what about Carol & Ted’s particles? We need a complete picture.
I admit freely that I never understood Deepak Chopra’s explanations of nonlocal events in the universe.
Here is a typical question and answer:
Question:
I have heard you say in your video on “The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire” that the ‘non-local domain’ is immortal, infinitely correlated, eternal, no time, no energy, etc. Would you please elaborate on the concept of ‘no energy’? I thought that pure energy was the foundation of the universe. Are you saying that there are no waves and particles in this non-local domain? That atoms and molecules do not exist in this field either? Your light on this subject would be deeply appreciated.
Response:
The non-local domain as the source of all relative expressions is a realm of unlimited possibilities, but it has none of those expressed values in it. Therefore it has no time, energy or space in it, yet it is the source of all energy, time and space. The non-local domain does not contain atoms, molecules or subatomic particles, yet it is the domain from which all subatomic particles arise.
Love,
Deepak

And no, I can’t tell if everything in the implicate universe is expressed in the explicate universe.
So solipsism is true?
I asked Kamala Harris to explain all this to me but she never replied. Guess she is too busy solving the border crisis and all that stuff.
i.e. The Triumph of the Will!
I fondly remember, back 60 years ago, when Scientific American was a bonafide science journal...
I think man’s understanding of physics is not complete.
“an apple can be red even when no one is looking”
Whoa, give this man a prize!
Well, it is easy enough to prove the universe liberals live in is not real
So does this explain why socks disappear in the dryer?
” The odds of correctly predicting this even 200 times in a row are 1 in 1060—a number greater than all the atoms in the solar system.”
Methinks they mean the odds are 1 in 10^60 (like one in a million billion billion billion billion billion billion - or you can just think of 10 to the 60th as Biden’s goal for the national debt).
Reality is a mental condition
All that is mental is local to the extreme
The universe is therefore purely local
QED
Trying to resist the urge to comment on Carol knowing about Ted’s-ticles.
These “scientists” have made a claim which they have not proven empirically. They are spouting a theory, which is apparently based on other unproven theories.
Somehow, I sense a political agenda behind all this obfuscation and mumbo-jumbo..
Don't go to Chopra to explain science.
