that threatens to cut off annexed peninsula from Putin's reinforcements A huge explosion has hit the only bridge between Crimea and Russia, a crucial supply line for Putin's forces Footage shows the blast following the rail bridge engulfed in flames and the road bridge next to it collapsed
The cause of the explosion is not known but Ukraine has been targeting Russian logistics in recent weeks Footage appears to show a truck exploding on the road section of the bridge as sabotage is suspected
A crucial bridge linking Russia and Ukraine has caught fire in a spectacular explosion in a suspected attack by Ukraine as the country cuts of supplies to Russian forces.
A train carrying fuel erupted in flames on the crossing, built by Vladimir Putin as a key link to the territory he invaded in 2014.
The only bridge between Crimea and the Russian mainland has been vital to the Russian military for supplying Putin's war in Ukraine.
Ukraine has previously threatened to target the bridge and has been damaging Russian logistics in recent weeks.
Footage of the incident appear to show a truck exploding on the road section of the bridge as it drives towards Kerch in Crimea.
It was unclear if this may have been a suicide bomb in a truck but there have been no reports of incoming missiles. Some witnesses claimed there were two explosions .
A voice on one video is heard saying: 'It seems to me there were two explosions, no? -- If it was a missile, it would hit the second [rail] bridge too in any case.'
There were suggestions Putin may address the nation on the bridge explosion amid fears he will unleash havoc on Ukraine.
He has already hinted he could use nuclear weapons in the war with Ukraine.

““a rail car caught on fire” is now being blamed”
Next they will blame the Saudis.
“A fuel tank caught on fire.”
Have your sarcasm detector checked.
Wait... are you saying they hit the exhaust port?
What’s a “neocon”?
someone who likes to start wars?
then that would be Vladimir Putin, right? cuz he’s the only one who started this war by invading Ukraine on Feb. 23rd
you CLAIM to “hate neocons”, i.e people who start wars, yet you NEVER criticize Putin ... why is that?
obviously, you’re lying to us ... you don’t hate “neocons”, you just hate Ukraine and support Russia
Your failure to comprehend what US NEOCON is your own fault.
OK you explain it to us ... what’s a “neocon”?
But Russian Trolls keep saying Russia is winning?
Putin is playing 3D hypersonic chess?
He’s holding back to use “secret weapons”?
How can this be?
Does it need explaining?
Sounds pretty given to me.
Little self research is your best friend.
Do Canadians have NEOCONs?
so you can’t explain it
So you can’t do a little research.
Here, let me help you, for example:
Go to Youtube.
Type in what is a NEOCON in the search box.
Hit search.
If you can’t criticize Putin, then you don’t hate warmongers
Snap, that was a quick search. /s
Oh wait! There is a war going on. Anyone remember Gen. Schwartzkopf briefing about the luckiest man in Iraq?
With the destruction of the Kerch Bridge, Russia has lost its only rail link to Southern Ukraine. (Not Under Artillery or HIMARS Range)
It wasn’t Ukraine that destroyed that bridge. It was the Clinton/Obama/Biden regime.
There is going to be payback. War is coming to America. Brace for impact.
>>Obviously the Russians blew it up themselves, because that’s what they do now.<<
Great post. Hilarious.
“Why are there so many pro Putin people on FR?”
This war has exposed there are two very different flavours of conservatism:
1) Small government conservatives. People who hate that the left is using big government to impose a leftist social order and believe the solution to limit government and defend free speech, free religion and free markets.
2) Big government conservatives. People who wish that instead of the state imposing leftist ides the state would instead impose a conservative social order.
Putin is the great hero to people who want an all powerful government that imposes a conservatism on the nation.
Straw man argument. I don’t support Zilensky’s reckless statements , nor Biden’s handling of the situation. I have made that clear in my previous posts.
Putin is still an evil nut job by invading Ukraine and threatening use of nukes.
But do you back Putin’s behavior?
It’s stunning that people could honor a man that has invaded a sovereign nation and threatens use of nukes when things aren’t working out well for him.,
