“Nobody is currently in federal prison on a simple possession charge, officials said.”

So he is essentially doing nothing

Vote buying.

What’s the point of having a LAW if the president is just going to waive it away whenever he needs to score political points?

We’re not talking one or a few but THOUSANDS.

And does the next GOP President get to pardon all non-violent federal gun charges?

If not, why not?

How many of these convictions were in California when Kamala was AG?

I have to ask why. Are there Federal jobs that can’t be filled if you have a conviction? IRS agents? How do you even get the feds to charge you with simple possession?

Many/most states as well as the Federal government still have laws against the possession of marijuana. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is a different discussion.

If Biden (or his ‘handlers’) thinks criminalization of marijuana use and possession is a bad thing, he can urge Congress to repeal the laws against it.

Several states have done so. How is it working out for them?

I wonder how many of those “simple possessions” had the other charges, such as gun possessions, etc., dropped or plea bargained away.

The planet is going FUBAR, and this idiot is focused on potheads. How about sending a few hundred DEA and Federal Marshalls out into the field and make fentanyl drug cartels “disappear”? 50,000 Americans die from fentanyl, and this idiot is discussing a few thousand potheads smoking weed.

Seems like he might be breaking a law doing this ONLY for federal employees.

Biden previously hired the US Attorney of Delaware who is the head of NORMAL. So I guess he has move forward from NORMAL’s position to actual pardons.
