into humiliating retreat: and liberate dozens of occupied towns - as NATO 'warns Kremlin will test NUKES on the border to save face'

Russia's frontline has collapsed in the south of Ukraine with dozens of towns liberated in a matter of hours Kyiv said its troops are 'confidently advancing to the sea' as city of Davydiv Brid is now under their control

Pro-Russian military bloggers said their forces had retreated around 10 miles down the Dnipro River It comes just days after Putin declared the Kherson region - along with three others - to be part of Russia

Russia's frontline has collapsed in the south of Ukraine with dozens of towns liberated in a matter of hours, according to sources on both sides of the conflict.

Kyiv said its troops are 'confidently advancing to the sea' as videos showed the city of Davydiv Brid under their control along with a clutch of smaller settlements in the surrounding countryside.

Meanwhile pro-Russian military bloggers said their forces had retreated around 10 miles down the Dnipro River as the entire northern end of their territory west of the river fell into Ukrainian hands.

It comes just days after President Vladimir Putin declared the Kherson region - along with three others - to be part of Russia, vowing they would belong to Moscow 'forever'.

Meantime, NATO has warned it is anticipating Russia may detonate a nuke on Ukraine's borders in a demonstration of Putin's resolve.

And news of Russian defeats in the region are significant, because Putin has based the majority of his best soldiers there - up to 30,000 of them, by some accounts.

Should Moscow's armies retreat from Kherson, then questions will be raised over whether they can continue to hold any of the territory they have taken in Ukraine.

Nope, but Svoboda, Azov and the government they control is. And any America fighting for a nazi government is a disgrace to the uniform.

And every democrat out there is 100% in support of them.
Only neocons, and ignorant people support America being in this on the nazi side of repeat WWII battles.

Yeah, I and I saw Luke Skywalker blow up the Death Star. Fake.... just more propaganda. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Especially when the side putting it out has all of big tech and the CIA on their side.

The Daily Mail's accuracy rate about this war is right up there with the climate change con men.

The truth:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox3uKQdGbIQ&t=1s Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for October 3, 2022

Ukrainian offensives are making headlines and being leveraged politically and psychologically. In reality, Ukraine is paying a price for these offensives it cannot recover from.

Meanwhile Russia is mobilizing 300,000 men and equipment to move against Ukrainian forces just as they fully over-extend themselves and as Western inventories to re-supply Ukraine dry up.

In short, the Western plan is not working. The sanctions cost the West more, it’s running out of weapons to send and there are signs of softening. If Moscow’s plan was to move slowly and wait them out, then it’s working.

One should not rule out the possibility of a negotiated settlement and it may be that NATO realizes in time that it has painted itself into a corner from which that is the only exit. But it’s hard to see, given all the hyperbole, how the West’s present rulers could admit to such an enormous failure. Electoral replacement, while happening, is too slow. And why would Moscow ever trust anything the West says? A unilateral surrender by Kiev is possible but the only way I could see it is if Zelensky were overthrown. Therefore I rate a negotiated ending as not impossible at the moment but of very low probability. But time is on Russia’s side and October’s improbability may be March’s desperate desire.

More likely to me is, to use a World War II analogy, that now that Kiev’s Operation Citadel in the Kursk Salient is petering out, it’s time for a really powerful mechanized offensive accompanied by strikes deep in the rear with no holding back. One must remember that Putin said they hadn’t really started – I think we’re about to see what he meant. And sooner, I would guess, rather than later. I can’t imagine that anyone in Moscow wants this thing still going on next February.

I never saw Churchill prance around like a homo. And Churchill was in combat, and had actual skills. This guy is an actor, acting a role... doing what very powerful friends tell him to do.

Try again.

They gained ten miles today. In four hours.

Not sure that is “petering out.” Maybe they measure stuff different in Russia.

"Nobody in FR likes globalists, but dictators that invade sovereign nations are worse."

That's true, but globalists don't like wars, especially high intensity conflicts.

* They don't want trade barriers, barriers against cheap foreign labor, barriers against sales in some countries (e.g. sanctions) or unexpected market changes.

* Wars also present barriers against global government.

* Very wealthy people are taxed to support larger wars and required to support more domestic manufacturing.

* They don't want to be forced to interrupt manufacturing in commie holes overseas for manufacturing in the U.S.A. and allied countries.

* The U.S. labor pool is more employed and paid during large wars. The list goes on.

Ted Turner, Bill Gates and others have said that there would be no more wars. We saw Elon Musk's perspective over the last day.

Now this to fatten that little s blackmailing SOB numerous bank accounts.

“President Joe Biden’s administration is sending a fresh package of $625 million in howitzers and other military equipment to Ukraine to help the country defend against Russia.”

Only a matter of time before Biden gives him a few nukes.

C’mon. There’s nothing Churchillian about that mincing, panhandling grifter. He has the same puppet strings attached to him that Biden does.

“ Nope, but Svoboda, Azov and the government they control is. And any America fighting for a nazi government is a disgrace to the uniform.”

Your opinion that the Azov brigade controlled or are controlling the Ukrainian government is odd, to say the least.

To think the Ukes wouldn’t use any and all fighters against the Russian invaders is even more odd.

And to make the stretch that we have Americans fighting for a Nazi government is pathological.

The people of Ukraine were invaded by Putin, and the Russian soldiers didn’t even know what they were doing at the time. You sound like one of the Russian commanders lying to his troops saying they were liberating Russian speaking Ukrainians from Nazis.

I think you might want to zoom out a bit. Take a look at where the Russians were. That map is just the past couple of days.

If you look into Churchill, the real Churchill... Read William Manchesters’ bio - “The Last Lion”, three volumes. This is a classic of its kind, maybe it should be required reading for all PoliSci students.

Anyway, in his day, in UK politics, Churchill WAS often considered a “panhandling grifter”. He was always short of funds in spite of being an aristocrat, and survived through receiving payoffs from the British “press lords” and financiers of the day. If Britain had US campaign finance laws at the time the Feds would have prosecuted him. When Nazi propaganda accused him of being a lackey of “Jewish financiers”, they were at least partly right.

A pretty good article on Churchill’s finances.

I've been wondering that myself. Could the Russian military really be this bad?

Do you think Russia is intentionally sacrificing tens of thousands of soldiers, thousands of tanks and tens of billions of dollars in armor and aviation? I think answering that might answer your question.

Break out of your conflict-skewed POV. Objectively Zelensky has been extremely effective, and indeed Churchilian. He brought not just Ukraine but Europe and the US into a “grand alliance” to fight this war, and that with his maximalist goals. He inspired the Ukrainians to build a numerous and highly effective army. Men dont fight like that without confidence in their leaders and a belief in victory.

He did this.

The US would have benefited, often enough, by an objective, non-propaganda view of their enemies. People like Ho Chi Minh and Vo Nguyen Giap for instance. Your enemy is Zelensky. Evaluate him objectively. He IS the Churchill, or the Ho Chi Minh, of this war.
