Twenty-seven House Democrats have joined a growing chorus of voices calling for the resignation of World Bank chief David Malpass after he made comments that critics say smacked of climate denial.
In a letter sent Thursday to President Biden, representatives Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), Sean Casten (D-Ill.) and 25 other Democrats said Malpass’s recent comments were both “troubling” and “unacceptable” and that the World Bank should have a “leader who listens to the science and is a global leader in combating climate change.”
“We urge you to advocate for the removal or forced resignation of David Malpass as World Bank Group President. The facts are clear that we are in a climate crisis and there’s no alternative but to take bold action,” the lawmakers wrote.

At an event during U.N. high-level week in New York, Malpass was asked whether he agreed with the scientific consensus that the “manmade burning of fossil fuels is rapidly and dangerously warming the planet.”I hope everybody notices this insanity. Malpass spoke the truth. He gave a perfectly reasonable and intelligent answer to the "gotcha" question. A miracle!“I don't even know. I'm not a scientist,” Malpass said in response.
His remarks prompted an outcry from environmentalists including Al Gore, who called Malpass a “climate denier.”

Has the left ever named any climate scientists with credentials besides Greta, Al Gore or AOC that can confirm man made climate change? I can't. They always say "Scientists say" What scientists? What are their names?

LOL! Oh wow, I love that movie, I must have seen it 50 times. It is so right on point with how the left acts.
I first saw it in the theater with my parents when I was around 14 and wow, probably my first bitch slap upside the head I ever had to the horrors of tyranny.
What’s really frightening is you can change the title to “Invasion of the democrats” and the movie would fit perfectly with what is going on today. Falling asleep while they take over your life is exactly what the RINO party is doing today, and what is the FBI doing? Acting just like the cops in this movie. “We have Maga Republicans! Send the Swat team and kick down their door” And they are indoctrinating the kids to “join us”
