Biden Administration Throws Cold Water on Ukraine Joining NATO
Newsweek ^ | September 30, 2022 | Nick Reynolds

Posted on 10/01/2022 5:54:12 AM PDT by McGruff

U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan says Ukrainian efforts to join NATO should be taken up "at a different time," throwing cold water on the country's desire to join the international alliance and potentially easing Russian tensions as President Vladimir Putin has begun accelerating rhetoric of potential nuclear war.

Ukraine formally applied to join NATO as a military partner on Friday, coinciding with Putin's announcement that Russia would be formally annexing four occupied regions within Ukraine's borders. If accepted, NATO-aligned forces would formally be drawn into the war, pitting forces in the West against the Russian military and, potentially, escalating the conflict.

NATO's Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier Friday that while it supports Ukraine's right to pursue an alliance with NATO, all 30 allies need to reach a consensus on membership.

Biden’s response would be “they got paid well, and so did we”.

The point is not Ukraine winning the war or Russia winning the war, the point of the war is war; perpetual war orchestrated by government to deflect attention of the public from focusing on trouble within the country and as a side benefit, providing fat contracts to the weapons industry, which in turn rewards politicians with campaign donations.

And there you go.

I would also add that the real goal was regime change in Russia which would have then allowed for them to install a Western/US/EU/NATO/UN friendly Russian government who would then allow them to come into Russia and carve it up for its vast, vast resources.

Exactly. The war cheerleaders have failed to ask relevant questions.

There is a good reason the Ukies have been DENIED access to the EU and NATO repeatedly since their inception in 1991.

Many reasons, from being a poor nation, to being known as having the most corrupted financial system ( Government sponsored) in the West.

It is well known in the EU that when you shake hands with a Ukrainian, be sure to check how many fingers he stole.

We are more to blame for this war than the Euros.

NATO is our club and we decided in October 2021 to bring Ukraine in, ignoring Russian concerns/requests...

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukrainian-president-zelenskiy-holding-talks-with-biden-adviser-says-2021-12-09/ (that wasn’t the Euros call, it was ours).

Also, the Euros would never have the balls to break the Minsk agreement, bring in special forces to train and arm Ukraine 2014-2021 like we did.

This is a war we caused.

All that said, because this is a war everyone in the West agrees with, i.e. the economic interests and political elite, everyone will toe the line. The news media is owned or beholden to the western oligarchs and corporations which want EU and NATO membership for Ukraine. It’s a democrat president and the MSM tends to be very favorable to such. You today have broad spread state run media censorship in the West (i.e. blocking Russian media). So all you will get in the West is a one sided bias narrative that is reminiscent of Pravda in the Cold War. If you want to hear a neutral or different perspective where they bring up points not mentioned in the Euro and North American media, look to India or some places where we don’t flagrantly censor but they aren’t 100% on board with the Western oligarchs economic objectives.

Russia will go nuclear before giving up the Crimea.

Well Russia is always about to go nuclear for one reason or another. Yawn.

Ukraine's daring attacks on Crimea are having a major 'psychological impact' on Russian forces, report says

'Panicking' Putin 'pulls all fighter jets out of Crimea after Ukraine special forces staged a string of daring attacks on Russian military bases deep in occupied peninsula', NATO report claims

Under the present conditions, Ukraine satisfies almost no criteria for admission to NATO. Everyone knows that, even Zelensky. Thus, the application was symbolic, nothing more.

I don’t personally like to post images that way cause I feel as though the posting of such images taxes the server(s) resources. So I always link the image. *shrugs*

Ask ZelenskyyIdiot if it was ‘symbolic’.

Ask ZelenskyyIdiot how he felt when within a few hours of asking for entrance into NATO, Germany, the head of NATO and the US came out and essentially said ‘No! Please return to the dunce table.’ You think ZelenskyyIdiot took that as being ‘symbolic’?

However there is a likelihood that when Ukraine pushes Russia out of all of it’s territories including Crimea, that NATO will immediately accept Ukraine.

How delusional can one be?!
