The Kremlin has urgently decided to purchase a large batch of potassium iodide, according to the order published on the website of the State Procurement of Russia on Sept. 26.
The tender was announced amid threats by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to use nuclear weapons.

A CANCER.Oh - you are even more crazy now.
No, it is that I do not consider Bloomberg News to be a reliable source of unslanted news.
$21 bucks for 20 pills? More price gouging when there is a nuclear scare.
Buy the stuff when there is NOT a scare, you can get it for a fraction of that price.
Your comment was likely meant for the Berliner...I quite agree as to the reduced domestic fossil fuel production leaving many in the USA wanting more winter fuels. And paying much more for what fuel they can obtain.
Thank you.
The forums in Ireland are called pubs and they love rebels with pigs, so take that you soon-to-be frozen Nazi ba*tard.
Reporting that Europe has enough LNG for the winter when in supposed truth it does not, would be way the heck more than just biased slanting.
Oh.
I punched your Irish Donkey Button - LOL!
I’ll give your donkey a kick, when I care what an Irishman Putin Stooge thinks, about anything.
I’m more worried about SlowJoe nuking red states than Putin.
If you heat with natural gas, good. Others there do not.
No need to lift your little Nazi finger. I’ll be watching you carefully as you fast 🥶 freeze. Remember, you wanted this.
Hmmm...
Will Putin be sure to give iodine tablets to all of his troops, or will they need to get family members to send iodine in care packages to the front?
Me too.
Would not be surprised if you didn’t get a visit from Homeland Security if you bought potassium iodide tablets.
After Chernobyl I suspect most people in Ukraine and Belarus have ample supplies of it.
//I’m pretty sure that iodine has no affect against nuclear flash, thermal release, and concussive blast
It also has NO effect on the absorbed ionising radiation dose from the fallout. None. It does absolutely nothing against damage from injesting or inhaling other common radionuclides in a nuclear war scenario.
It is NOT a “radiation pill”.
It only protects a very limited part of your body against a very specific danger - accumulation of radioactive iodine-131.
It would be useful in a civilian reactor emergency like if there is a release of I-131, but a total gimmick in virtually any other scenario.
Hopefully the people paying a premium for KI pills realise this.
I have a 100 grams down in my fallout shelter . Just in case . With Joebama poking the Bear and the Panda simultaneously things could go hot quickly . 100 grams provides around 770 adult doses . We are underground with 10 inches of concrete and steel around us . I worked in the power generation industry before I retired and I know way too much about the Homer Simpson stuff that has happened that most normies have no idea of it happening . The news media has done quite well at hiding coverage of certain things . If you knew half of what I do I guarantee you that you also would have a shelter .
Well done on your preps. I’m ok as far as lasting out trouble, but no where to the extent you are.
Over a dollar a pill,yikes!🙄
