Why the West is trumpeting its Ukraine war intel

...

Before and during the war in Ukraine, intelligence disclosures have been intended to bolster Ukrainian and European resilience against Russia’s invasion, to undermine Russia’s attempts to justify their actions and expose their wartime atrocities and failings.

These disclosures have also sought to justify NATO and EU member economic sanctions and security assistance to Ukraine and to enhance cohesion with more reluctant allies to isolate Russia diplomatically and economically.

The methods of and motives for these disclosures are not unprecedented. In the past, states have communicated intelligence for the same underlying reasons: to justify actions or policies and to persuade partners or adversaries to their cause and build their resilience. It’s also used for incriminating adversaries.

Russia-Ukraine war has had a heavy counterintelligence component. Image: Facebook Yet the scale, frequency and initially preemptive nature of intelligence disclosures concerning Russia and Ukraine are new. Given the acute pressure Ukraine is under, Kiev is disclosing especially granular intelligence on alleged Russian operations to kill Ukrainian prisoners of war and Russian security service war planning.

In a more sanitized manner, UK Defense Intelligence continues its daily “intelligence briefings” on social media about Russian military progress and internal tensions. The US is using satellite imagery to expose Russian efforts to source Iranian drones and disclosing assessments to spotlight global Russian influence operations.

As Anna Horrigan, the US National Security Agency’s senior executive, explains: “We can’t just watch our adversaries, we have to do something about it, whether sharing timely information, or taking action against that actor.”

With both former intelligence officers and those responsible for these influence campaigns championing their benefits, the war in Ukraine has probably set a precedent for – and an expectation of – this more open approach to communicating secrets, at least for its main proponents the US, UK and Ukraine.

All part of the information war.

It is not new; it is done all the time in warfare.

In war, the truth is precious, and not to be wasted.

A ‘war intel’ solely based upon “Ukrainian officials.”

That’s how the Western intel is working when it comes to Ukraine.

We don’t know what we don’t know

The recent Russian total defeat was unknown until it was almost over

Fear kills. Knowing you are going to die negatively influences Russian troops.

SABOTAGE SPILL? Both the GERMAN and RUSSIAN governments are in agreement about ONE THING: that the MASSIVE OUTBURST of oil caused by LATEST SPILL under the Nord Stream pipeline, published by Danish Military, is likely due to SABOTAGE, with MESS ranging HUNDREDS of meters wide.

UPDATE: Swedish seismic center records TWO underwater explosions on the Nord Stream routes - SVT TV channel.

WAS IT YOU, JOE? Nord Stream 2 pipeline is leaking gas, Danish authorities put the energy sector on an orange ALERT (the 2nd highest), WARNING ships to NOT sail within five nautical miles of it, as it’s LIFE THREATENING - leaving the world with one CONCLUSION, Biden delivered on his ILLOGICAL PROMISE.

Biden: “If Russia invades that means Russian troops crossing the border of Ukraine then there will be no longer a Nordstream 2. We will bring an end to it.

Reporter: “But, how will you do that exactly since control of the project is within Germany’s control?

Biden: (smirking) We will, I promise you we will be able to do that.

The Warsaw Pact Army that was controlled by Russia was a threat to Western Europe.

This Army was huge.

It included Army units from countries such as East Germany, Hungary, Poland etc…

The Warsaw Pact is gone.

The huge Warsaw Pact Army is no more.

What is left is a Russian Army that is much smaller.

It does not appear that the conventional Russian Army is capable of conquering Europe.

It is up to the European nations to spend their money to develop their Armies to defend themselves.

The Warsaw Pact is gone and we don’t need to be pumping billions of dollars into Ukraine to protect Europe from a threat that no longer exists.

Even the Soviets acknowledged that if the Warsaw Pact attacked the West, the Poles would probably rebel and fight against the Soviets.

Do you think the Russian Army is as big as The Warsaw Pact Army was?

💰💰Gas from a blasted pipe spills across the Baltic.

In parallel, the only EU country that is rowing loot from all this is Norway.

So a new gas pipeline was opened from Norway to Poland. At the same time, when Germany asked Norway to lower the price, the Scandinavians said that loot is loot☝🏻

Germany continues to be driven ...

‼️The Federation Council of the Russian Federation will not hold extraordinary meetings.

The next one is scheduled for October 4th.

Decisions on the final accession of 4 regions break off for 4 days☝🏻

At the same time, rumors about the military situation in the Russian Federation are being postponed.

Everything looks like a postponement for the continuation of active negotiations at the level of the Russian Federation-USA, which are already underway.

Interestingly, Blinken stated that he was not negotiating with Lavrov, and Sullivan said that he had an emergency line.

Negotiations at the Sullivan-Patrushev level are the highest pre-presidential level of communication between the US and the Russian Federation.

⚡️Kremlin confirms President Putin spoke to 🇹🇷’s Erdogan about Russia’s readiness to negotiate with Kiev - Dmitry Peskov.

Our source in the Office of the President said that the Office of the President is trying to prevent negotiations between the West and Russia, as they understand at Bankovaya that any freezing of the war will be considered evil in society. The United States has restored contacts with the Kremlin, which means that discussions of possible compromise solutions that suit both sides may begin, but all this will take place without the participation of Ukraine.

PS: A permanent solution is needed at this moment & a frozen conflict could be a fatal mistake.

Our source in the OP said that the Office of the President is ready to create a dirty nuclear bomb to contain Russia. A headquarters has already been set up on Bankova with nuclear scientists and the military, who are urgently preparing a group for the development of nuclear weapons.

I worried about the under sea communications cables that we have installed. I hope someone thought this through before they acted in haste.

Russia could even return the favor and blow the new pipeline from Norway to Poland in retribution.

It is a good sign to see that the U.S. is talking to Russia behind the scenes, though. Also just read that Ukraine has not been heard from in 48 hrs. If that ridiculous idea in that Ukrainian Telegram Channel is right (dirty bomb) I am sure that the U.S. will end that.

Propaganda on all sides. At this point with any western intelligence agency I operate with the trust but verify rule of thumb, and if it’s the CIA/FBI assume it’s a lie to begin with.
